Braves Leave the Bases Loaded Twice in Loss to Nats

8 men left on base. It’s not a whole lot but 6 of those 8 were stranded as a part of a bases loaded situation.

Two times the Braves loaded the bases last night but only 2 runs came across. To be fair though, at least neither Norton nor McCann struck out with all those ducks on the pond. Both sets of loaded LOB’s came as a result of hard hit balls. But had those runs come across, giving up 8 runs to the Nationals is still an embarrassing fact.

Jurrjens had a rare 5 run outing but RIng didn’t help with his 3 spot in 1/3 of an inning.

Nobody really looked good in this game. Chipper and Greg Norton were responsible for the pair of Braves runs so Chipper is still hanging around just under the .375 mark. Lillibridge ended his mini-streak and Frenchy got a hit!

Well folks, I have to keep this one brief because I’m heading out the door to today’s rubber match with the Nats so I will hopefully have a winning post tonight.

Keep Choppin!

I was at the game today…

Not too exciting to lose a series to the Nats. What does this mean about how we go about business from here?

Just got done recording the podcast – and I’m still beside myself about today and this whole series. This is the best we could muster!?!?!? I think we need to trade Texy, Ohman, see if we can get anything for Kotsay, send Frenchy to AAA and start to talking to Cox about hanging it up at the end of the season. I mean, this isn’t working (unless, of course, we magically do well against the Marlins and Phillies!).
