I know everyone hear reads DOB, but this article sums it up after tonight’s game was called for another Braves L. Hide the women and children before opening the link.

“Hide the women and children before opening the link.”.
That’s…gonna be tricky. It’s ok. I don’t think I can listen to the show and read that blogpost all in the same day anyway. Does anyone else feel like taking a fist full of muscle relaxers and sleeping for 4 days?

good stuff guys. I was listening while writing “were going to win the next 6 out of 7, remember the end of last year” and Steve then pre-empted me with the same thought…not the 6 out of 7 bit… but to remember how things turned around dramatically last year. Then Curt says no 8 game streak…well fine, maybe no streak, but 6 out of 7, could be…pitching is still phenomenal…gotta think this hitting will turn around. lets not slash our wrists yet. ill take 5 out of 7.

Braves are playing like they have never played baseball before. It’s embarrassing.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:30 am
The hitters need to light a fire under their butts. and start playing with a attitude NOT TO BE DENIED OF WINNING! Get fired UP one time GEEEEZ! Lets go Chipper, Nate, Melky, Diaz, Glaus HIT THE FREAKIN BASEBALL , GET ON BASE! Whatever it takes do it.
April 26th, 2010 at 9:44 am
Wake Up Atlanta Braves!!!! Grow UP ATL BRAVES!!!! PLAY LIKE PROS, NOT LIKE A BUNCH OF LOSERS! LET EM HANG AGAINST THE CARDINALS
April 26th, 2010 at 9:47 am
I know everyone says it won’t happen but how can we be hitting so poorly while the KJs, Kotchmans and Frenchys are power houses since leaving ATL and the firing of TP not even be considered? That makes us look more stupid than any farting around in the field or flailing at the plate. Shame on everybody. Shame on Chipper for not being a leader, shame on B Mac for not stepping up if Chipper’s gonna halfass his role. Shame on Glaus for everything and double shame on Escobar for getting paid seven figures and daydreaming while my heart is crushed. I want one of two things to happen tonight. I either want crystal clear precision type play that makes us proud even if we lose or tough as nails, Devil may care, basestealing, potential brawl leading type play that leaves uniforms so dirty you have to throw them away.
Ok, not shame on everybody. Prado and Heyward are like beams of light in the most dreary of days.

…but on the Up Side, thanks, fellas, for the ABT Stuff page! Payday is Friday, people. Show ‘em some love and promote the awesome podcast: http://www.cafepress.com/atlbaseballtalk

moodyt2 – I agree. It’s been some of the most embarrassing baseball we’ve seen in a long time. And, again, I can’t believe we’re even having this conversation. How does the team lose so much focus and ability to execute. It’s just mind-boggling.

Anne, placed my order last night and cannot wait to get my capped sleeved ladies tee. I went with red…black had potential to make a hot day even hotter on my poor little shoulders. I’ll always wear it with navy shorts lest I look like a Phillies Fan from behind. I’m asking for a mug for Mother’s Day
!
Steve, I hate to seem like a slave driver but the Rev and I can’t get either computer to log onto ABT. We keep getting “Cant open socket”. If the show’s computer guru has any suggestions can he email them to me? I haven’t been able to log on for 2 or 3 weeks (not that it’s stopped me with my iPhone…THANK GOODNESS! Haha…right? *silence*).
April 26th, 2010 at 10:27 am
I hate when I have to suffer watching the games on TV, I have to change the channel when they play like babies. It makes me wanna throw-up. I’m tired of all this half assing around. Chipper seems like he would rather be turkey hunting. He is always hurt, grow some balls and get the job done. HIT BOMBS! STEAL BASES! i cant remember the last base the braves stole. It’s awful! I’m not giving up on the Braves. Are they?

Mara – I’m troubled by this. Although I’m having no problem getting to the site on multiple different computers. Will you post the following information about both your computers: PC or MAC?, which browser? what version of the browser? Thanks.
April 26th, 2010 at 11:56 am
Let not your heart be troubled Stevie. We’ll figure it out or I’ll be world renown for the strongest thumbs known to man. I’m pretty illiterate with computer stuff but will try to answer your questions. I have a very old Dell with Explorer and a Macbook with Safari and Firefox. For a week or so I could pull up the website through Google. But now I can’t even do that. Bub said on occasion he got the “can’t open socket” message as well but it fixed itself.
April 26th, 2010 at 12:27 pm
Right, me too. I get that message every once in a while (once a month or two months), but I hit refresh and the site loads fine. I do wonder if it’s the browser version you’re running.
April 26th, 2010 at 4:30 pm
What browser do you guys use?
April 26th, 2010 at 5:48 pm
Phillies sign Howard to extension

Mara – I use Google Chrome. Never had a problem opening ABT.

The Phillies are a serious baseball organization. Those are neat.

First words out of Bobby’s mouth on the “Cox Report”: “Well, we’re doing a lot of things right, to be honest…”
I just want to grab him by both sides of his face and scream into his eyeballs “NO YOU’RE NOT!!!!! AAAAAAAUUUUGGGGHHHH!!!!”
Then he goes on about “… a lot of good pitching going on in the league right now…”
Yeah. Take a gander at what kind of pitcher’s (many of) these guys are before they get to Atlanta, and then after they leave.
No matter how many times it happens, I can’t BELIEVE this giant MORON will not own up to playing like SHEITE.
Doing a lot of things right???? WHAT THINGS? Something besides defense offense I guess. AAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH.
WHY am I listening to this game? WHY WHY WHY WHY??
I can not wait for Robert Cox to go AWAY.
April 26th, 2010 at 8:15 pm
“The worst person in the world you ought to blame for a team not hitting is the hitting coach,” Cox said. “We all feel bad. We’re not hitting that bad. It’s just that when we’re not hitting, we’re not getting them in.”
I WILL DESTROOOOOYYYYYY HIIIIMMMMMM!!!!!!
April 26th, 2010 at 8:20 pm
lol. 1-2-3 inning for another 7+ ERA pitcher.
April 26th, 2010 at 8:22 pm
Trying to prepare myself for a loss…for four more straight losses. I don’t think we’re ever going to win again.
April 26th, 2010 at 8:36 pm
1st and 3rd, two men out, stop me if you’ve heard this one before…
April 26th, 2010 at 8:38 pm
Glaus really is the most unlucky sonovagun.
