That would make me the most dejected as a player…that my coach had to completely lie for me. Any thoughts about Heyward being out of the lineup?

    Mara Raincloud Says:

Can’t do it…can’t watch them lose again.

    Bubbusted Says:

I can’t see what difference it makes one way or the other.

    Heyward:

“It’s early, so as far as just facing guys for the first time, or maybe figuring out what their go-to pitch is, or what the strike zone may be like for certain umpires, that’s all going to happen,” Heyward said. “Sometimes they’re going to make [good] pitches.

“Like I said, it is early. There’s going to be an adjustment period. Once you go through it once, and just to get any kind of rhythm that you’re going to have later in the season, you’ll be able to better react.”

Translation: Leave me the eff alone.

    But they won’t.

Bub you feeling ok? You’re slurring your words.

  6. 356
    Bubbusted Says:

Where am I slurring? I’m not feeling okay, no. But I’m not drinking, unfortunately. I’m *this* close to calling it a year on this nightmare, though. Can’t make myself follow the Phillies, even though they’re interesting to me.

Rays, maybe. I’m a DH fan anyway.

I seriously just don’t know how to get behind any team run by Bobby Cox. He’s not the only problem, but he would be enough all by himself.

… and tell me it doesn’t make you sad. I think the grass might actually be greener… it can’t get any browner.

    I don’t know. It’s depressing.

I wish I could enjoy NBA. Maybe if the Spurs go ahead and knock out Dallas I’ll hook up with the playoffs.

    Mara Raincloud Says:

There were some weird typos in your quote. I know. It really is depressing. I feel like we’re never going to win again.

    Bubbusted Says:

Heh. THAT would at least be entertaining. No, eventually we’ll win again. But not much.

  11. 361
    Mara Raincloud Says:

There should be a mercy rule for MLB teams. Can’t believe Montreal came back and won the series.
