See…all heart. Something HAS to give. If I were TP I’d turn in my resignation and say “Sorry fellas. I guess I ain’t got it.”. I expect them to lose today but man I hope they win tomorrow. Come on guys…for the Brave Mother’s!

Brave Mother’s pea picking hearts! Or *Brave Mothers*. Which ever.

What did Howard Johnson say?

Gabby Johnson……………
May 8th, 2010 at 11:03 am
Heh. I love it. I haven’t seen Blazing Saddles since I was a teenager. I know, I know.
Authentic Last Tier gibberish?

Kelly Johnson hit his 10th. 2 more than he hit last year. He will actually hit 30 homeruns this year. 30. Thir. Tee.

This is pretty hilarious. Rated PG-13, to say the least. MLB is taking it down left and right, so you’d better hurry if you want to catch it.

*Do not watch it at work.

I hate baseball. I hate my love of baseball even more. Why couldn’t Glaus gotten one of last night’s hits today? Why baseball gods…WHY WHY WHY?
May 8th, 2010 at 3:41 pm
We do have a sweet team down here in TB. Watching them and listening to the Braves…. there should of never been a comparison between the two. Joe Maddon’s players would never quit on him. These guys on the Braves are a bunch of overpaid losers. No wonder the underpaid latino players hate playing on this team.

The Phillies pitchers have looked better at the plate than our hitters this series. What dimension of reality is our team functioning in.
May 8th, 2010 at 4:08 pm
Yeah, pretty exciting when their pitcher can get a 2 out hit and our cleanup guy has left 5 on in his 2 ABs. God, he is terrible. Another ridiculous effort with scoring opportunities.

I’m glad Medlen got the start…I’ll say that.
May 8th, 2010 at 4:16 pm
Just heard over the Phillies loudspeaker: “Now batting for the opposition…The Philly Phanatic.” They’re being right neighborly.
May 8th, 2010 at 4:32 pm
Atta boy, Medlen. Help yourself out.
May 8th, 2010 at 4:35 pm
Atta boy, Nate. Pulled you a Frenchy. Christ.
May 8th, 2010 at 4:35 pm
LOL @ Tampa Bub at your 1:26 am post. You really got your frustration across there.
I am so disgusted by the excuses coming from the Braves. They seem to give all of the credit to the opposition and take none of the credit for their poor performance. You CANNOT expect to get a fastball down the middle, you need to MAKE hits and figure out HOW to win a game. Completely unacceptable.
May 8th, 2010 at 4:41 pm
…um, why are we pulling Medlen??
May 8th, 2010 at 5:24 pm
Perhaps Medlen was pulled because this is his first start of the season. That must have been his longest appearance this year.
May 8th, 2010 at 5:35 pm
Good job Medlen and happy to see a crooked number on the board. I know, we still suck but I wanted to say something positive. I miss Cledus and the negativity gets to him.
So does the fact that McCann is wearing glasses again and that he sees better during the day support the funky eye disorder theory?
May 8th, 2010 at 5:43 pm
Wearing glasses again does support the theory. But O.R. isn’t the only thing that can make contacts a pain.
Yes and no to the day/night thing. Yes because at night, lights are goofy looking – extra large halos, etc. But almost all vision troubles are worse at night, so it’s not an especially telling clue.
No because O.R. is aggravated by sun exposure. If I had to make a call, I’d say the day/night is evidence against the O.R. theory. But the all these parts of the condition are variable, which is why it’s so hard to diagnose unless the skin symptoms accompany it. (Even that is tricky, as many skin troubles ape Rosacea. Misdiagnoses abound.)

VENTERS!!! Go, Braves!!
May 8th, 2010 at 5:51 pm
Ape? That sounds terrible!:). Y’all think BC learned a thing or two about Howard vs. righties last year. Nice management in the 7th (see Cledus?).
