What a GAME!!!
June 1st, 2010 at 10:42 pm
I like how Mac tucked the ball and lowered his shoulder for Ruiz to “eat it”.
June 1st, 2010 at 10:46 pm
Don’t quite understand why Infante is bunting with a 4-run lead.
June 1st, 2010 at 11:06 pm
Wow, what was Werth doing on that one? Hinske is so out of breath.
June 1st, 2010 at 11:11 pm
Steve and I were the only ones doing the “Let’s go Heyward” chant for the first pitch. Finally the entire stadium got a clue and joined in. So, you’re welcome.

This has been a great game. On a less-positive not, Chipper has looked absolutely terrible at the plate. He also got bailed out by Prado’s heady double play after he struggled getting the ball out of his glove and then threw a sinker to second. I guess he did get a walk so Bobby will consider it a good game for him.

Was Vic safe?
June 1st, 2010 at 11:28 pm
Why get Wagner up if you’re not gonna put him in to face Utley?
June 1st, 2010 at 11:29 pm
Right as I submitted that he hit Utley. I am so sick of Bobby’s managing.
June 1st, 2010 at 11:31 pm
Not to mention it was obvious that Venters didn’t have his best stuff from the start of the inning.
June 1st, 2010 at 11:34 pm
Wah freakin’ Hoo!!!
June 1st, 2010 at 11:34 pm
Whew.
Good game! That’s why we have BIL. LY. WAG. NER.
June 1st, 2010 at 11:40 pm
Addendum to Mara: I stopped by “Play it again Sports” after work and bought an old, used Rawlings glove for 20 bucks. So, I’ll be the nearly 60 yo, guy with an old blue Braves hat and a young #22 shirt on…plus the glove. See ya at the plaza, or somewhere! Go Braves!
June 1st, 2010 at 11:42 pm
Unbelievable. That was nearly like the 5th(I’ve lost count at this point-could very easily be more)game Bobby’s cost us by way of questionable lineups and bullpen decisions. It’s only June 1. Wake-up and stop letting your undying devotion to players cost us a shot at the postseason, again. Geez. You’d think he’d learn after managing for 25 years. Nope. Same ol’ stubborn Cox. It’s like we see the same 5-15 terribly managed loses/near-loses every year. I can’t wait for a new manager.
June 1st, 2010 at 11:43 pm
Wagner is the man. Imagine if we had Gonzo or Soriano in that situation…
June 1st, 2010 at 11:51 pm
Jonny V. just wanted Wagner to get a save.
June 1st, 2010 at 11:56 pm
Hey..we won, right? Try to not let that get in the way of your misery.
June 2nd, 2010 at 12:24 am
I don’t think it’s misery when one is befuddled by the tying run coming to the plate in a game in which we went into the 9th with a 5 run lead. Maybe I’m alone on that one. Could be…. Don’t worry no misery here, lol. I usually don’t feel miserable over a game. Worse s*** can happen in life. That’s my outlook. Sorry for the ranting. I’ll stop now.
June 2nd, 2010 at 12:26 am
Note to Cledus: I’ve decided to wear my ABT shirt tomorrow…gotta represent! Great game! Tons of fun hangin with Steve, Anne and BP Frank. Frank? You there?
June 2nd, 2010 at 12:36 am
Mara – I second that. It was absolutely terrific to meet you and to hang out tonight. Have a great time at the park with your family tomorrow. Bring that broom.
June 2nd, 2010 at 12:47 am
Steve, did you notice @bravesorganist replied to your tweet? That’s freakin awesome!
June 2nd, 2010 at 1:18 am
We won the series…can’t take that away from us. Sweep, sweep, sweep!!! Finally going to sleep…Go Braves!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 2nd, 2010 at 4:19 am
Just got done with work. Love my iphone and the ability to blog at any time. Was I really the only person upset with keeping Venters in in the ninth. Kind of surprised by that. Regardless, 7. N. A. Row. C’mon Hamburglar! Let’s make it a sweep. Puck the Fillies! ESPN replay is on. Timing couldn’t be better. Watching the game again. Surprise! this time I would still take Venters out after the 2nd batter he faced. I guess I’m miserable again, hahhahahaha!
June 2nd, 2010 at 4:44 am
Due to show all’s response to my previous comments about my supposed “Misery” I will begin my transition to the name of Jimmy Caan or Kathy Bates. I like Jimmy Caan more because it leads to the name of “Tollbooth”, which is obviously where Jimmy met his demise in the Godfather saga and is something I come across often in Florida. GO BRAVES!
