Hah! I missed that! I think he was about to load the bases at that point so I was concentrating on not saying the very bad words going on in my head. You know Steve…he just can’t handle it.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:20 am
On his strained non-throwing shoulder: It hurt way worse when it happened. It feels way better now, just a little tight in the back. I was just trying to make things happen. Get on base and get a run.
Whew…I’ll be honest. It looked way worse when it happened too. Who else broke into a cold sweat?
June 9th, 2010 at 12:43 pm
So I was relistening to the show as I cleaned my inlaw’s house an I’m confused. You mean Cole Hamels DIDN’T come in after the rain delay?

Today looks like a big ol’ nasty L in the pitching comparisons. The Braves have an opportunity to really impress me here. And honestly, they need to. They need to scrap one out. I won’t be too down on them if they don’t, but MAN do we need a pick-me up after losing 3 of the last 5.
On a happy note, the Dodgers have beaten the Cards twice in their first two games, making L.A. 8-2 over their last ten games. We’re the two.
Josh Johnson versus Halladay today. That’s the best you can ask for.
BTW, we will win the allstar game this year and for a few years to come.
Halladay, Jimenez, Lincecum, Strasburg >>> Sabathia, Greinke, etc.
Yeah, I said Strasburg. Somebody shoot me.
The over/under for homeruns Kawakami serves up in the first inning in AZ is 4.
June 9th, 2010 at 2:51 pm
Um…I’ll say under. Going out on a limb but feeling more like a sunflower today as opposed to a cactus, like yesterday.
June 9th, 2010 at 5:13 pm
Tonight I frow vely soft-ry. Rook out berow!
June 9th, 2010 at 6:34 pm
If you want any encouraging news on Kawakami, I just discovered that in all those poor teams we faced in May, KK only pitched against the Pirates once and the DBacks once. He missed the other Pirate series, the Astros, and the Brewers.
In those games against Arizona and the Bucs, KK gave up 3 runs and 2, respectively, and the Braves won both games.
June 9th, 2010 at 6:45 pm
Very encouraging! Totally meant to get a nap today…didn’t happen. *yawn*
June 9th, 2010 at 7:00 pm
McOut is no longer McBenched. Prado’s back in at 2B and leadoff. Other than that, same lineup. No Melky. No Omar. SAD….
June 9th, 2010 at 7:10 pm
“Mara” #278 – hahahahahahahaaaaa! You had to be there. Go Braves!!
June 9th, 2010 at 7:34 pm
Meds has started 6 games for us this year. We’ve won 5 of them. That’s our #5 starter.
How can we even entertain the idea of letting him go back to the pen when JJ heals?
June 9th, 2010 at 8:55 pm
Mike Minor touched for 7 run.
June 9th, 2010 at 10:35 pm
KK has not been as bad as his record. I know he has not been anywhere near as good/great as Medlen, but he is better than 0-7.
WTF with Kelly Johnson? All of a sudden he’s Ty Cobb.
June 9th, 2010 at 10:48 pm
Every inning that goes by scoreless swings the game in favor of the Braves’ pen.
June 9th, 2010 at 10:52 pm
I call base hit for McLouth.
June 9th, 2010 at 10:55 pm
…/slash out.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:04 pm
Kitchen’s having a pretty good night I’d say…not to state the obvious.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:12 pm
We canNOT let poor KK lose again.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:18 pm
Great catch, Nate.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:20 pm
Gotta hand it to KK so far. Putting up zeros.
I hate that McSomehowkeepsgettinginthelineup replaced Melky tonight. Heaven forbid our center fielder hit.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:20 pm
Just got home… looks like the Braves are doing their typical thing when KK starts.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:21 pm
These Maxi Price ads on Fox Sports South are unbearable.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:23 pm
I almost hate to see Nate play such killer defense. No way Melky runs down those last two hits. Chipper’s almost hits called by Chip Caray is not a good combo. Finally, has Joe West EVER had a neck?
June 9th, 2010 at 11:25 pm
Ugh. Torture. Two almost homers in a row.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:28 pm
I’m ready for the bull pen. So I almost ran over an almost dead snake today, a BIG snake and just as I was passing over it my kid learned how to blow through a straw and hit the back of my neck. I almost jumped through the windshield. Go BRAVES!
