The Braves have scored two runs or fewer while Kawakami has been in nine of his 12 starts this season, including no runs while he’s been in four.
He has the fourth-worst run support among NL starters, while teammates Tim Hudson and Derek Lowe rank among the league’s top 10 in run support.

Only one D’back was the starting pitcher. A very good one. You could say it’s pathetic to only score one off their bullpen, but then again the D’Backs could feel pathetic for only scoring zero off the winless Kawakami in their own (hitter’s) park.
Sorry, I can’t get on the “pathetic” train right now, as much as I like to ride that sucker. The Braves have shown me nothing but hard work and tough results on this trip, on which they still stand to draw even at 4-4 with a win today. Now, if they don’t win today, my grump meter will surely jump a bit.

That’s twice in about three days. He had some line after Chavez blew the game the other day – “We pitched well up until the last inning” – or something like that.

lol, tuned into the Mets game on gameday just in time to see Frenchy strike out on 5 pitches a mile out of the zone. He has zero pitch recognition, I swear, just guesses every time. Here’s the sequence for your nostalgia and amusement:

Wow, if gameday graphic is correct, this guy is REALLY off. Missed two more calls by a long shot in this at bat. One for the Braves and one for the DBacks, but he is off. Who can pitch with this guy back there?
