Liriano was a “perfect storm” of a pitcher tonight. Very few teams would have beaten him. Huddy was great, just not great enough. Good game! Go Braves!

The game Friday night kicked off the third interleague meeting between the Twins and Braves, who squared off in the epic 1991 World Series won by Minnesota in seven games.
“When you see the Braves, your thoughts immediately go to that,” said Twins manager Ron Gardenhire, who was the third base coach in 1991.
Gardenhire said he ran into some baseball fans from Atlanta earlier in the day who told him, “We’re coming to pay you back.”
“The sad thing for them is they’ll never pay us back,” Gardenhire said with a big grin. “We have the ring and it will always be our ring.”

Makes me sad to think of Chipper’s return, but I won’t harp on it today. A beautiful win. 5-6 or 6-5 road trip all comes down to tomorrow. I think the team is relieved to be in that position.

Yeah, it’s sad to be sad about Chipper. Conrad, Infante and I guess Escobar could all out produce him at third, though none of them will ever put up the numbers he has.

Did anyone hear why Chipper was benched? I mean, not the real reason which is he sucks but the pretend reason they are telling everybody. I love that something historical happened today and that it helped lead to a Phillies loss. We gotta watch those Mets.

I probably won’t get to watch but I like today’s lineup! I know J-Hey’s not hitting but he will and maybe even today. How, how, how can Conrad ever sit on the bench the way Chipper’s been hitting. No way we win last night with Chipper and McDizzy instead of Conrad and McMelky.

This is the first season of my life since I was 14 years old in the summer with neither a job nor classes to attend. My sleep is drifting. I get lots of sleep, but sometimes it’s from 7am until 2pm, or even weirder times than that. I don’t recommend it.
