Paradise City is a perfect song

It cracks me up how you can spell things so that I hear them. Does that make sense? I tried typing the Welcome to the jungle nananananananeee, neee part and couldn’t make sense of it.

Ooooh Paradise City. Forgot about that one.
June 24th, 2010 at 9:57 pm
We’re holding first place by one skinnyassed Detroit run. Wright and Ike left bases loaded with one and two outs, respectively.
We’ve been in first since May 31. Don’t want to lose it.

That ChiSox series was like a backwards time machine. Game 1 = June, Game 2 = May, Game 3 = April. Let’s freaking win Friday and get that awful taste out of our mouths. My son and I will be there to cheer on the boys.

That skinnyass run kept us in 1st. Gotta atleast take two from the Tigers.
June 24th, 2010 at 10:38 pm
Whew.
Go Braves!
June 24th, 2010 at 11:07 pm
Ya know…to state the obvious.

Mara, did you and yours see TS3 yet? The Rev might spot some Edwardsian imagery in the climactic scene.
June 25th, 2010 at 10:15 am
My kids saw it with their Gramps. Surprisingly they failed to notice the Edwardsian imagery. We will probably make them go again next week so we can see it or I might just go by myself so I can unashamedly cry like a baby.

I don’t like facing tall lefties in their debuts. If the guy was short, or right handed, maybe.
June 25th, 2010 at 1:26 pm
Mara, if you go by yourself, I suggest finding a non-3D showing. Not that the 3D version was bad, but really unnecessary, and I love the way Pixar looks in 2D. Much more elegant… or something.

Cheaper too. Thanks for the tip. If they don’t win tonight with all the hooplah it will be very disturbing and sad. Plus Steve’s going to be there with his kid and oh the language that can come outta that mouth.

Tonight’s lineup: Prado – 4 Heyward – 9 Chipper – 5 Glaus – 3 McCann – 2 Escobar – 6 Infante – 7 Cabrera – 8 Medlen – 1
sick ‘em.

Btw…how is the “summer of Bub”?
June 25th, 2010 at 8:13 pm
It’s okay, Miss Mara. Ready for school to start back. I went to campus to take care of Financial Aid and couldn’t believe how much nostalgia I have for those big ol’ buildings after only two terms there (started in Junior College, only been at JSU a year).
I can tell already I’m going to stay for a masters. With any luck I’ll get a job at a university after I graduate and basically be surrounded by that atmosphere the rest of my life.

June 25th, 2010 at 8:47 pm
So can all 9 Phillies.
June 25th, 2010 at 9:00 pm
I don’t know which of you guys get PTree TV, but listening to Murph tell stories during the last inning was so great. Avery too. What a fun weekend to be part of.
June 25th, 2010 at 9:25 pm
Steve, are you at the game?
June 25th, 2010 at 9:26 pm
I don’t have it, but somebody on another message board (hush, Mara) was just bragging on it, so I linked him to the ABT Murph interview.
June 25th, 2010 at 9:27 pm
I meant Curt. You guys sound just alike on the message board I get confused.
June 25th, 2010 at 9:28 pm
Awe Bub…
June 25th, 2010 at 9:30 pm
Just cuz you pick on me for visiting other forums. Don’t frown at me. I can’t stand it.
June 25th, 2010 at 9:34 pm
Steve is at the game. I’m here at home and keep stealing the twitter feed from him. Nice effort again from Medlin.
