Hanson will get no W tonight because of garbage defense from his teammates. I hope we can get this one and not fall to 1-5 against the Mets.

OMAR!
July 9th, 2010 at 9:23 pm
Omar and Melky just dominating the knuckleball this evening.
July 9th, 2010 at 9:24 pm
Kate, I was previously a “give Escobar a chance to turn it around” kind of guy. Now, not so much.
July 9th, 2010 at 9:29 pm
Wahoo! Back to back jacks!
July 9th, 2010 at 9:56 pm
The Reds are the kings of blowing big ninth inning leads.
July 9th, 2010 at 10:06 pm
Gotta love Frenchy! What a huge out.
July 9th, 2010 at 10:08 pm
And yes, Esco’s lazy toss to first was enraging. I was somewhat surprised that Bobby didn’t pull him right then. He’s really lucky that Glaus was able to stay in (and by lucky I mean that I would have been even more mad).
July 9th, 2010 at 10:10 pm
You gotta wonder if Frenchy is going to the bench permanently if/when Beltran comes back. If I were Manuel I would leave Pagan in the starting lineup. Frency is the king of killing scoring opportunities.
July 9th, 2010 at 10:11 pm
Ironically, after I typed that he made a great catch to kill a Braves scoring opportunity. Karma.

Philly wins 9-7. Unbelievable.
July 9th, 2010 at 10:17 pm
Yes sir!
July 9th, 2010 at 10:23 pm
Watching the interview with Jerome Jurenovich and Omar Infante translated by Martin Prado was perfectly awesome.

I’m officially looking forward to the day when Yunel Escobar is not an Atlanta Brave. He has finally completely broken me. I can not stand the guy.
When he makes a good play, I’ll be glad about it, but I won’t cheer. I’ll never cheer for Yunel Escobar again.
The end.
GREAT WIN!!! GO BRAVE!!!

Bub – I’m with you. My patience is really wearing thin. I never got that wound up last year with his stuff. But tonight, watching that looping, lazy throw to Glaus, followed by Glaus grabbing his wrist in agony – something in me snapped.
July 10th, 2010 at 12:56 am
Did anyone else see Bobby do the “Linda Blair” in the dugout? Man! That was ugly! And later smoking a stogie in the post game interview? Who is this guy????
July 10th, 2010 at 1:12 am
Steve, I’m still in Yuney Esco’s camp… He will win a game for the Braves soon, and when he does…Trade Him!
July 10th, 2010 at 7:43 am
After every game, Bobby & Chino hit the showers and argue about Yunel: “That kid just infuriates me, but my shins hurt too much to climb up three steps and pull him from the game. Pass the Pert.” “Cut the boy some slack, Jefe… Can you get my back?”
I need another cup of coffee!
July 10th, 2010 at 10:31 am
Maybe he’s depressed since he lost his frosted tips. At this point, Infante should play everyday whether it be in LF, 3B, SS, or CF. I agree with Manuel that having him and Prado 1 and 2 is like having two Polancos. IMO, Heyward should probably hit 5th or 6th when he gets back. Also, why do we need McOut back, and who goes when he’s back? I’m sure McOut is a decent human being, but I would not be upset if he was just cut or traded for a player to be named later.
July 10th, 2010 at 10:39 am
Catching up on Tweets and that capital guy pointed out Frenchy got 4 outs in 6 pitches. Pulling a Frenchy is anything completely antiproductive. I think yesterday was also the anniversary of his trade wasn’t it?
July 10th, 2010 at 10:52 am
Poor Yunel. I didn’t see the lollipop from last night so I’m not as bitter (get it). I wonder if the success of Prado and Infante has been hard on his feelers.
July 10th, 2010 at 11:50 am
“Pass the Pert.” That made me chuckle.
Steve, that’s uncanny that you snapped then. Me, too. I’d built up a fairly proud resistance to disliking Yunel considering how fickle I am. I’ve spent a lot of words defending him, reminding fans we don’t have any Milton Bradleys or Manny’s or even Hanleys. And reminding myself that Yunel wears everything on his sleeve to the point of it being endearing.
But this week the quote from that NL scout affirming that it really is his reputation now to be petulant with is expressions and body language, and that he thinks he’s better than he is… wore my resistance thin. And that Florida article saying Hanley was “Channeling His Inner Escobar”… and then that play that literally hurt the team by hurting a player… I’m done with him.
July 10th, 2010 at 12:15 pm
I don’t know why but I’m giving him another chance. I anticipate something special today.
