Steve, Hammy, and Curt — with the July 31 trade deadline approaching, what trades do you think the Braves should make? Who would, or wouldn’t, you trade?
This is probably just a crazy trade idea, but I wonder if Wren and co. would consider trading Derek Lowe. Even though he’s been pitching very well and the strength of this team is the starting rotation, I also think that clearing his remaining salary would help for the future. I wonder if a Lowe-for-Magglio Ordonez trade might be a possibility. It’d be a money-for-money swap, but it would also be something helpful for both teams.
