    Mark in Memphis Says:

That was like a wide receiver running a route and the ball was on the way before he turned around…

I just explained the Wes Helms vs Braves phenomenon to the elderly gentleman sitting next to us. He says marlins’ fans feel the same way about MCann, which I thought unfair since McCann is 5000x the player Helms is.

Really? Can’t get a hit off Sosa and his 7 + ERA?

  12. 262
    Nate Says:

    where is our offense?

  13. 263
    Mark in Memphis Says:

Sosa’s problem has always been when he tried to “put a little extra” on a pitch. He tended to rotate his body a little harder, which caused his hand to drift outside his arm (he needs his hand to come right over his elbow), which turned his fastball into a “hanging” slider-ish pitch… And it would get HIT!

    Anybody hear anything on EOF?

    Mara Wanna Says:

There’s that DP! M in M, where was that pitch in the 10th? Or did he throw it? You’ll learn very quickly I know very little about…well mostly everything.

    Nate Says:

just don’t hit into a dp mcout.

    Mark in Memphis Says:

Only positive thing is a fly ball could be good…

    Unbelievable.

    Nate Says:

how does mcout come off the bench before omar?

  22. 272
    Nate Says:

    mcout + chavez= disaster

  23. 273
    Mara Wanna Says:

Nate, for real. They have to send him down right? How can they not?

  24. 274
    Mara Wanna Says:

I’m going for a run. I need Black Eyed Peas blaring in my ears. Not the series I thought we’d lose.

    Nate Says:

Back at the car. Super bummed. Really, we should of won that game way before the 8th when Chipper tied it. Volstad was pitching on minimal rest, and we only got 2 on him. I don’t know if you can attribute that to a Sunday lineup since a lot of regulars played today. I like Conrad. The slams have been great, but how does Omar not get a start. He is much better against righties, but Cox seems to be only giving him starts against lefties. Anyway, we’ve been pretty unsuccessful in extra inning games lately, so I’m not surprised we lost in extras (the other team eventually gets Chavez every time). This is a great team we’ve got, but I think we’re gonna need more offense.
