August 7th, 2010 at 8:16 pm
Who are these guys?
August 7th, 2010 at 8:36 pm
Baseball players, Nate. I don’t know where they came from.
August 7th, 2010 at 8:50 pm
*sigh*
There they are.
August 7th, 2010 at 8:51 pm
Frenchy homered to give Mets a 1-0 lead.

August 7th, 2010 at 9:11 pm
Bobby, if you leave him out there to blow up, I’m done watching for a week I swear.
August 7th, 2010 at 9:19 pm
Whew. Huddeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
Mara, are you really not watching tonight?
Nobody thought they might respond by playing crisp? Not saying I thought they WOULD, just saying I thought they MIGHT.
August 7th, 2010 at 9:35 pm
Wow, Billy Wagner tonight. Holy Moses.
August 7th, 2010 at 9:40 pm
Fine, I’ll party with myself.
Whooooaaaaaa, oooo-oooahoooo (repeat 50X)
August 7th, 2010 at 9:48 pm

August 7th, 2010 at 10:43 pm
Bub, couldn’t watch tonight for multiple reasons but glad we won and appreciated your commentary on the board. Super glad the Phillies lost even if it was at the hand of a villian. After last night I wasn’t on speaking terms with the Braves. So today while eating lunch at Jestine’s in Charleston SC I see a letter from the 94 Braves telling Jestine happy birthday and thanking her for her support. I COULDN’T GET AWAY FOR ONE SORRY DAY? Anyway, I thought that was funny. So I’ll probably be busy tomorrow as well and honestly, I need the break. Keep up the chatter…it makes me feel less like I missed it.

It was truly a great game. The best they’ve played in the second half. Offense got what they could off of Cain. Huddy was unreal. Alex Gonzalez with what probably will be the #1 web gem to get Huddy out of one of his only two jams. Huddy got fired up and pointed happy fingers at his infield for turning the awesome DP.
At the end of the 8th, Mac gave Tim a big high five in front of a roaring sell out – yup, sell out – Turner Field crowd.
And Wagner – my goodness. 98 MPH on the radar, struck out all three batters on 11 pitches!!!
No errors and smart plays all around. The Croakin’ Trojan did hit into two DP’s, but also drove in 2 of the 3 runs with a double he stretched into a single. (little joke there, just a regular single). Braves played very energetic and alert baseball with their ace on the mound and their ass on the line.
I was impressed. This may settle into a division race.
August 7th, 2010 at 10:53 pm
Oh, and next year’s first baseman hit two doubles and two singles in 4 AB’s, picking up 3 RBI’s and raising his average to .305 on the year, no telling what it is in August now. .500?
August 7th, 2010 at 11:14 pm
Wow…you are pumped! I might have to go watch it one day when I get a chance. Did it feel like a turn around?
August 7th, 2010 at 11:32 pm
It felt like it could be the beginning of a turn around. Yeah, I’m a little pumped. I’m proud of them for acting right.
August 7th, 2010 at 11:45 pm
Home from the game…my friends pulled a fast one and gave me an early birthday present – game from a box at The Ted! REALLY great – oh, and great we won and the Phillies lost. Good LORD Wagner was on fire. GO Braves!!!
August 7th, 2010 at 11:46 pm
My bust. Freeman was 4 for 5, not 4 for 4. Oh well. We’ll get a 1B from somewhere else…
August 7th, 2010 at 11:47 pm
Happy Birfday, Anne. That’s a good present.
August 8th, 2010 at 12:01 am
I also missed the game. Maybe it was Freudian. Who knows. Bub, i was perharps being a little hyperbolic before, but like you, i was over the way they were playing. Still am if it continues tomorrow. Great win tonight, from what i have read. But win and show up behind someone other than Hudson. But big win with Santana shutting down the Phils. Hope this is the game that gets us kicked in the right direction.
Go Braves. Happy birthday Anne.
