The luck of the florist… too funny.

Really? KK is being pouty? That’s ludicrous with no more facts on the table than what you have. I guess that’s probably the most slanderous comments made on this show since I’ve been listening (admittedly, it’s still not that bad as slander goes…).
I’ve been calling for KK to be ousted from the rotation almost the whole year, but the guy has exhibited zero “victimy” conduct. He was asked the question, and didn’t even go into any detail, but had to be asked the same question twice before it was even clear. Talk about projecting.
This is your evidence:
1. He was great in Japan.
2. All people who were once great must become petulant if they lose their greatness.
Did I miss any?
Agreed that KK is the back-up plan for Minor, and failing that, could be showcased in the minors for a waiver trade.
Steve, I would agree that a Freeman call-up is inevitable if he was right handed. I think that might put it over the line for Bobby. But being a lefty and already having the lefty Hinske available + preserving the clock on Freeman + extra seasoning for Freeman might keep him down in Gwinnett unless Glaus literally sends us down to 3 games back with his poor play.
Wagner = Rocker & Wholers?? Come ON, a few blown saves. I agree he isn’t 100% great, but look around the league at K-Rod, Broxton, Capps, Wilson – they’ve ALL had stretches like this. I do agree Bobby should take some chances on a few Saito and Farnsworth saves. Freeman would help save Wags’ arms by putting us in fewer save situations, but I digress…
Hot tomatoes and the luck of the florist? You guys know some mushrooms don’t go in the spaghetti, yes?
I’ll go with the 4-2 crowd. Nervous and excited about Minor.
Good show, as always. Even if Ham burnt my cracker. (No idea what it means, but file it with lucky flowers and hot tomatoes…)

Won’t be able to listen to the show until tomorrow but from the looks of it I’m gonna have to break out my decoder ring.

Freeman went 2-5 yesterday, with 2 RBI. Please, Wren. Please. I’m going with 5-1 this week. Extremely optimistic. I don’t know why, especially given the Braves’ knack for giving away games lately.

A little something for KK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c98qdFQF7sw

Love it, Anne.

Steve, I love the Prado at 1st, Infante at 2nd idea. That’s the move I thought the organization would make last offseason. Both players have more than played their way into a starting role. Then, when Freeman’s ready, shift Prado to third if Chipper’s done or to 2nd (Infante to LF) if Chipper’s still wants to play in 2011. For right now, Prado at first could be a really nice fix if they don’t want Freeman in the bigs yet. I would also bat those two guys first and second everyday and drop Heyward to the 5th spot. Heyward could knock in a lot of runs with Prado-Infante-Chipper-Mac in front of him. Mac would also see better pitches with Heyward behind him.

Just to be clear – (since I feel that my points weren’t adequately summed up in Bub’s rebuttal) – the question was do I think that KK has been treated unfairly. And, quite simply, my response was no. So I’ll put this out there – what would you have them do? And obviously KK understands what his role was/is in the bullpen (whether he liked it or not), so what else are the Braves supposed to say to him? “Nothing’s changed?”
I just think that it was a very strong reaction from everyone over an interview that wasn’t so incendiary.
Bring it on, and bring your crackers.

I’m bringing my crackers and my pops to the Dodgers game on Monday, the 16th if anyone’s going to that one.
Ham, it was VERY incendiary. KK-hater. 8)
There was more flippancy in my intentions than actually came across in my post. And I expect all to take that at face value because I NEVER over-react to anybody’s comments, EVER. (Nunca jamas…)

Bub – I’ll be at the 16th game…stop by Section 211 and say hi. I’ll probably be rockin’ my red Diaz shirt. That’s right, you heard me.
August 9th, 2010 at 4:29 pm
“what would you have them do?”
Just talk to him more often. That’s it. That’s the whole issue, but it’s important. When you hear players brag on organizations, that’s what they say: I always knew where I stood.

I will be there on Saturday and will leave very good vibes.

Frenchy asking for a trade again. I shall now proceed to smile all day.

I love you, Bub (just like Prado).

Jackie Brown = the best QT film. Sorry for all you who just don’t understand…
Love you, too, ham (just like Smoltz)

2 batters in the line-up tonight hitting over .262, ouch.
At least they hit homers.

Speaking of pulpy movies, anyone here seen “The Limey”? A small Steven Schroderberg(sp) film that I highly recommend starring the underrated Terrence Stamp.

I wish Jim Powell wouldn’t call “over the head of ______” when he only means that the fielder is running backwards to catch the ball.
August 9th, 2010 at 8:29 pm
Bub, it drives me crazy when he does that. He made out 2 in the bottom of the first sound like it was going to be a run scoring triple.
August 9th, 2010 at 8:29 pm
Sigh, Bobby … why is Alex Gonzalez batting 8th? He’s the PERFRECT batter for this game. He has reverse splits (hits RHP better) and there’s a short porch in left.

By the way I made that post before AGonz’s double.

Aw, poor Minor…
