It’s a weird feeling to give up an early run and not feel like that tilts us toward a loss more than a win. It may just be a happy illusion, but I like it.
August 19th, 2010 at 2:12 pm
Bub – the being down 2 runs every game is cute and all – but let’s score some freaking runs! This is John Lannan. If you can tell, I’m a little less confident about today’s game.
August 19th, 2010 at 2:23 pm
Couple of productive outs there
August 19th, 2010 at 2:28 pm
This game is not playing out like it did in my head.
August 19th, 2010 at 2:31 pm
4 runs feels less attainable.
August 19th, 2010 at 2:56 pm
really could have stood to have that inning last a little longer
August 19th, 2010 at 2:59 pm
Anne…could you talk to Matty D about that play? I think he was daydreaming.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:04 pm
Anyone watching the game? How unnecessary was Matt’s pick-off on 2nd?
August 19th, 2010 at 3:32 pm
I hate having Prado bunt right there.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:41 pm
Agreed. Another huge wasted opportunity.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:41 pm
So frustrating. Drives me crazy when he has our guys hitting over .300 bunting with runners on.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:43 pm
Okay let’s see. A double ties it here. Who leads the team in extra base hits? Oh, it’s Prado, and he’s batting… I think I’ll have him bunt. What? Are you kidding Bobby?
August 19th, 2010 at 3:46 pm
Not only that. He had him attempt to bunt the runners over for Matt Diaz facing a righty. This is another case of Bobby blowing a sweep. If we miss the playoffs, then I hope it’s by many, many games because there are going to be a lot of games to look back on as wasted opportunities. That said, please let’s win this one.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:51 pm
Farnsworth, Willie Harris, hitting .180ish, just took you very deep. Get it together man.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:55 pm
Go Giants.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:55 pm
I would suspect that Bobby will soon lose patience with Farnsworth. Damn – a sweep would have been nice.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:56 pm
Steve, I’m not able to watch the game but it sounded VERY unnecessary.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:57 pm
And as was noted, after today, the Phils get the Nats at home starting with Marquis and his 12.50 ERA.
Farnsworth. You hack
August 19th, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Same old story. 1-9 w/ RISP.
August 19th, 2010 at 4:09 pm
Yuck.
Oh well.
August 19th, 2010 at 4:11 pm
Sounds like I’m glad I missed the game entirely (?)
August 19th, 2010 at 5:01 pm
I know we shoulda won that one and maybe Bobby made a mistake with Prado but we took 3 out of 4. Can’t complain too much.
August 19th, 2010 at 7:51 pm
Hang on Giants
August 19th, 2010 at 8:08 pm
Score some more, SF. Get into that bullpen. Phils are a loooooong way from an off day.
August 19th, 2010 at 8:59 pm
Cox on Prado’s bunt: attempt “If he hits into a double play, you’d be asking why I didn’t bunt.”
no we wouldn’t………
