An amazing tattoo just walked by which reminded me: Bub/Steve – did you see the Bobby Cox thigh tatt on the big screen last night?? Good LORD!
August 17th, 2010 at 8:11 pm
We need a count of “Days between the time the fans knew a player was hurt and when the team acted on it.”
Heyward is a hole in the line up. Braves with their head in the sand. Hey, if we’re lucky, he’ll frig himself up so that he won’t be great next year, either. 8)
Sit the young man down, dammit.
Minor looks good. Love this kid.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:12 pm
Anne, yeah, I saw the tattoo. Crazy. That’s not where I’d put my Cox tattoo if I had to get one…
August 17th, 2010 at 8:13 pm
Clearly, Bub. There are MUCH better locations.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:14 pm
What’s the troy glaus count at? Like 45? 50? more?
August 17th, 2010 at 8:18 pm
At least, Nate, and if you added up that “stat” on Heyward, Glaus, and McCann, got to be over 300 plate appearances with injuries everybody knew damn well were there.
Go, Minor, Go!
August 17th, 2010 at 8:20 pm
EOF just pitched a scoreless inning for Gwinnett. No k’s, one walk, erased the walk with a double play on the last guy.
He faced three right handed batters, so that’s not bad at all. Keep it comin’ O’Flare.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:24 pm
Sigh, Philly strikes versus Zito. 2-2.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:25 pm
Wish I had a nickel for every “and the Braves will go quietly” I’ve heard lately.
My kingdom for a RH bat.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:27 pm
Finally done with Grammar for the night. Yuck! It’ll be nice to get EOF back. I wish someone would hog tie Zimmerman.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:31 pm
EOF up again. K’s the first lefty he faces on 4 pitches. Nice.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:32 pm
Minor is looking amazing. Our 5th starter!!!
Anne, I didn’t see the Cox tattoo. Sounds pretty great, though.
As Bub rails against the hidden injuries (and I’m with you Bub, I still don’t understand why more is not made about both Heyward’s stuff and McCann’s eyes in the paper), we can all feel better about the self-inflicted ridiculousness of others: http://tinyurl.com/28puf55
August 17th, 2010 at 8:32 pm
EOF strikes out the next guy, too.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:36 pm
EOF strikes out the third guy, too.
Struck out the side. Two lefties and one RH batter. Get your fanny back here, EOF. Venters will kiss your feet.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:39 pm
As the Braves go down by 2, Philly goes up by 2.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:40 pm
2-0 doesn’t seem like a lot unless you remember we have nonexistent bats tonight. Then it seems insurmountable.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:41 pm
Steve, that’s hilarious, the K-Rod fiasco. Didn’t think they would monkey with next year. If the Union wins this one, I’ll… just … spit.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:45 pm
Steve – Bub and I are saving up to get you a Cox tatt for your birthday. To make Curt jealous, if nothing else.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:46 pm
Good job, Diory.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:47 pm
Always somebody different! Thanks DH!
August 17th, 2010 at 8:48 pm
Mara, insurmountable, phshaw… we’ll get that back before there are two more outs.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:49 pm
I was just bemoaning to my 10 year old that Diory was up to bat, he can’t hit, at least he’s pretty fast – and then his homer. Unreal.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:49 pm
Heyward won’t get the runner home. If we’re lucky, he’ll walk.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:51 pm
Nicely called, Bub. Unfortunately, I was having the same exact thought.
Time for Prado’s first hit of the night.
August 17th, 2010 at 8:51 pm
Yes, a walk. Okay, Nats, now you’re in big, big twuble.
