The Rev warned me. He said, “Ya know Hanson’s gonna have to give up 2 to 5 runs in the first two innings.
August 27th, 2010 at 8:56 pm
Ok…seriously. I need an explanation. Why is this happening?
August 27th, 2010 at 8:56 pm
Curt, remind us all again: What’s better than losing? I forget.
August 27th, 2010 at 8:56 pm
Hey, Rev, Tommy can stink late in games, too. Don’t sell ‘im short…
August 27th, 2010 at 8:57 pm
See ya, Bravos. I’d rather do math than this.
August 27th, 2010 at 8:59 pm
WHY?????? What the hell is happening to Tommy freaking Hanson? I’m about to say very ugly words!
August 27th, 2010 at 8:59 pm
ah this sucks
August 27th, 2010 at 9:00 pm
In the next podcast I expect to hear how the team doesn’t trust Hanson, how they just don’t score runs for him, how he pitches some good and some bad — along the lines of how you dissed KK…
August 27th, 2010 at 9:03 pm
So, for next year, who do we need to get besides Ugla and Helms so we don’t have to face them?
August 27th, 2010 at 9:07 pm
Mark, Hanson is 19 – 13 with a 3.24 ERA coming into tonight, and is 23 years old.
KK is a veteran, 8-21, with a 4.17 ERA, and struggling in Gwinnett. I’m with you on a general lack of respect for Kawakami (not by this podcast more than by any other Atlanta media I’ve seen), but they are such different players in terms of both career performance and career potential. It’s hard to pretend they deserve the same level of patience.
August 27th, 2010 at 9:07 pm
Hanson is like 5467658 times better than KK

I’ve been forced into watching the pre-season Falcons game. Snore
August 27th, 2010 at 9:13 pm
I broke down and bought some White Stripes. Am I young now?
August 27th, 2010 at 9:21 pm
I encourage everyone to listen to the KK show again. Aside from avowed Braves hater Ham, Steve and I could not have been more supportive of him. In every conceivable facet. My opinion of him has not changed at all. Nor has it changed of Tommy Hanson.
August 27th, 2010 at 9:23 pm
Bub, which album?
August 27th, 2010 at 9:27 pm
TWS. Their Debut. I knew it was rawer, to a fault for some people, but I wanted to start on the first rung. I love it. I’ve played it 3 times today.
August 27th, 2010 at 9:29 pm
“Steve and I could not have been more supportive of him.”
True. And earlier in the season, I actually thought you guys thought a little too much of him, as far as his pitching goes.
August 27th, 2010 at 9:37 pm
I hope Philly wins tonight. I’m tired of the suspense. I want to see what this club does with their asses over the fire.
August 27th, 2010 at 9:38 pm
Okay, really going. Mood spoiling by the pitch… g’night ABT. Go Falcons.
August 27th, 2010 at 9:39 pm
Why am I still watching this game? I have the PBS documentary “War” waiting on Netflix…why am I not watching that?
August 27th, 2010 at 9:40 pm
They’re really great. Great diversity with their songs. White Blood Cells is a really fine album too. And they don’t get too polished. They do pick up a bassist by Elephant, I think, but they are terrific.
August 27th, 2010 at 9:46 pm
That’s why…thanks J-Hey.
August 27th, 2010 at 9:58 pm
It’s no better when you’re back home on your couch. Oh, well, there’s always tomorrow…

Was out all night with the family at Six Flags. But could not believe what I kept seeing on my Blackberry as I checked the score. And now to read the game story and see all the homers given up. I mean, it was so bad that Bobby couldn’t even sugar coat Hanson’s performance. Not the way to start this homestand. Phillies/Padres tied in the 10th. C’mon Padres.
