“The Namath” works. Doubly, even, since it resembles “nay math,” as in, Bobby’s bad reasoning resulting from said anomolies.

Nice to see some hits. Can this be a turning point of sorts? Looked like a great crowd as well.

i dont get “The Namath”…. is this in reference to Joe? I just read his Wiki page…basically he was a badass…aparently a bit of a drunk who played on bum knees and won championships and cried when Bear Bryant died… whats wrong with that? If he sucked it must have been in his late career…thats just getting old…was before my time though.

Mara – it was an amazingly enthusiastic crowd. And lots of folks as well. Good ol’ Friday night fireworks.
Ham, I do agree that McLouth bought himself a bunch more starts. And, based on his last two days, why not? Ride him until he starts sucking again (+ 3 games extra because it’s Bobby). He’s looked like a line drive hitter the last couple of games and not a pop fly in the infield hitter like he’s been all season.
Tonight felt so improbable based on this last week. And when Carpenter hit that homer I completely lost all hope. What a great inning that 6th inning was. I almost still can’t believe it.

It seems like a big win. Not to sound like Steve, but we beat a good pitcher after a bad start, and were able to break through against the Cards. Here’s hoping that all means something.

Can I call ‘em or what? McLouth will bat cleanup today.

My son just got his first RBI of the season. The next play he was tagged out at 2nd although he did slide attempting to avoid the tag and got VERY dirty.

Thwing my 12 year old a birthday party. I know…how am I possibly old enough to have a 12 year old! Did we have the bases loaded with no outs and only score 1? I may have looked on the wrong line.

2 outs

Yahoo!!!! Can’t wait to see the condensed game!

Just watched the hilights on mlb…..
was anybody there?
that had to rank as one of the top 3 walkoffs this year….simply due to the “charged playoff atmosphere”
1- Conrad’s slam
2- McLouth’s HR – clear the dugout
3- Gonzalez’s HR
this year’s hilight reel is insane. Need some of this magic for about three more weeks.

What a great game! I love McLOUTH going and getting that ball to hit a 3 bagger, Jason’s shoe string grab in the 11th, and Gonzo’s jack to win the game after looking lost in his previous at bats. I also love his skipping from 3rd to home. One happy fella there. Oh and it was also fun when Mac caught Pujols stealing 3rd.

Did y’all hear the Rangers beat the Yanks by pulling a Frenchy?
