The San Francisco Giants were eliminated, I believe, from any post season, as of yesterday. Timmy is pitching his last start against the D’backs today. He can go all out! Which he does a lot. Question is (and the same one for all of the second half of the season especially, but also of the first half before the break), will there be any offense? And since I have the Beach Haus ** resident Expert ** on the line here (I like her version of Inside Baseball best) have there been any other teams this season who have had as much bad luck injuries as the SF Giants (I’m sure there are other teams that have bad luck calls too, but the SF Giants sure looked to have more than their fair share of those too, odd stuff) ? Except for the pitchers, mostly, the end of season (hell, end of first 1/3, 1/2, 3/4 of the season) line up is not the same as the beginning of the season line up nor the World Series line up. It has been a very bad season for some of the players, Buster Posey especially. On the bright side, I am really impressed with some of the younger up-and-comers that the SF Giants have played. Y’all better watch out they are coming, they are good, now they have Big League Experience, and they are ALL HUNGRY!!!! Given the status and loss of so many of the World Series players, I am really amazed that they hung in for so long and actually got so close to the playoffs. and all that stuff. ** San Francisco Giants I have not decided which team to go with from NL or AL for the playoffs and World Series. Will have to think about it.
