Yes, a VERY happy birthday to Steve. I meant to tell you earlier: the REO Speedwagon post-game concert was power-ballad dedicated to you, being such a big fan like you are, and all…
October 4th, 2010 at 3:22 pm
You know Anne, in my 20′s, I was such a classic rock facist that I’d have had to fight you for that REO Speedwagon crack.

Interesting question posed on DOB’s blog: For Game 3, Sunday, which uniform will the Bravos wear? Surely not the goofy red ones, right? Right? Got to be the home whites?
October 4th, 2010 at 3:50 pm
They have a really good record in those red uniforms.
October 4th, 2010 at 4:51 pm
A record of offending their viewing audience

I LIKE the red jerseys just not the hats that go with them. As does Cledus…if he were still he would say so himself. I haven’t been able to listen to all of the show yet. However I think we miss Martin way more than Chipper. We’re used to missing Chipper. Losing Martin was a huge blow. He was hitting the ball solidly all year, until his injury, while Chipper was spotty most of the time and a ticking time bomb the rest. Yes, he’s the hero and yes he was getting hot and yes I’m pretty much in love with Meadow. Still…good show so far and Steve, I guess it’s your birthday? Happy Birthday!

Great show. Some really great points on our strengths and weaknesses. But man, you’re right. Medlen will be missed severely. And who knows? Kimbrel might be the shining star.
My prediction: there’s always a Lemke every postseason and they usually have a quirky name or quirky stance (thing Craig Counsel). This year, it’s gonna be Brooks or Omar.
And too bad we won’t be able to hear postseason announcer drivel about Prado’s troublesome pine tar stains on his jersey…

Braves still have 20k tickets for Sunday. Depressing
October 5th, 2010 at 7:32 am
I’ll take one!
October 5th, 2010 at 9:21 am
If I weren’t in Austin on Sunday, I’d take one! Go Braves.
October 5th, 2010 at 12:07 pm
I think that MLB is doing a disservice by not announcing the start times for these games. I think if Braves fans knew it was a 1:35 start time they would buy tickets. The not knowing if it is going to be at 1 or 8 is screwing it up.
And how do you show up last weekend and not want to show up Sunday?
October 5th, 2010 at 12:35 pm
Ask and answered, Curt: Game time for Sunday’s Game 3 Braves-Giants at Turner Field will be 4:37 p.m. Game 4 if necessary, Mon at 8:37 p.m.
October 5th, 2010 at 1:32 pm
Lowe, Hanson, Hudson. I like it.
October 5th, 2010 at 3:54 pm
Break up the sliders. Me too.
October 5th, 2010 at 4:24 pm
No Saito on the post season roster. Surprised, I am.
October 5th, 2010 at 6:05 pm
Thanks Yoda
October 5th, 2010 at 7:04 pm
So does that mean he cannot play the entire post season even if he gets better? Explain oh wise one.
October 5th, 2010 at 10:11 pm
Mara – you can redo your post season line up after the conclusion of the Division Series. You can also sub out any injured player in mid series. So, when the Bravos go to the NLCS, if JJ is healthier, he’d likely join the rotation and bump Beachy, for example.
October 6th, 2010 at 6:06 am
Happy belated birthday Steve.
October 6th, 2010 at 6:44 am
Man you guys are great!
“I’m sorry, I talked over you, say it again?” “…Postseason”
Win.

If the Braves don’t make it to game 4 (assuming they sweep the Giants, of course), do you get your money back?
October 6th, 2010 at 9:41 am
You can get the money back or apply them to a 2nd round ticket. Or, in the case of the Falcons, you can apply the money to season tickets for the next season.
October 6th, 2010 at 9:49 am
Danny – thanks for the birthday wishes.
Getting back to the fan interest as it related to the Falcons game last Sunday. Spoke to a buddy who said they were posting the score of the Braves game all throughout the 2nd half and there was much fan reaction to it. And that the club level was packed with people watching the 9th.
