I think Conrad has LVP locked up.
October 10th, 2010 at 7:47 pm
COOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!! (that looks like coon, but it is supposed to sound like Kahn).
Why is he still in the game? Isn’t this where you bring Diory in?
October 10th, 2010 at 7:51 pm
This could go down as the most heart breaking ballgame in Braves history.
October 10th, 2010 at 7:57 pm
This is fixin to suck.
October 10th, 2010 at 7:57 pm
Well.. Atlanta Braves… this year… in the post season… the most heartbreaking ballgame all day at the very least.
October 10th, 2010 at 7:59 pm
NATE MCLOUTH????
HAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAH!!!
JUST SHOOT ME IN THE FACE WITH A BAZOOKA PLEASE!!!
October 10th, 2010 at 8:02 pm
How did we get in the playoffs? I miss Chipper, Meadow and Wags.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:02 pm
Why didn’t they let Nate pinch run and freaking Ross hit?
Screw,
screw,
screw.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:04 pm
Dear Bobby Cox, lefty-versus-righty is not the only factor in all of the game of baseball.
Other factors include:
sucking versus not sucking.
Example: you versus other managers.
Yours Ever,
Bub
October 10th, 2010 at 8:04 pm
Dies it make a difference that Nate was already in the game? I honestly don’t know.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:04 pm
Just in time to watch the Phillies win…fantastic.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:04 pm
Oh.
Yes. Yes it does.
Ignore me. My heart is bursted.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:09 pm
wow – there goes Mo. In a big way.
I don’t know what the solution to this is, but it has to be something that doesn’t include Conrad, right? He has done very little at the plate and a whole lot of pooping in the field. Must stop. I am sure he is likable, but so is Steve. And I do not want Steve playing second base. Although at this point, it might be a better option.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:11 pm
Steve at 2B. Do it. Curt in CF.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:12 pm
I’ll play catcher. I’m tough and can take the pain!
October 10th, 2010 at 8:16 pm
If I make it through this night without alcohol, I’m freaking cured for EVER.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:18 pm
Be strong Bub. You can do it. I BELIEVE!
October 10th, 2010 at 8:19 pm
Actually, I have to do it. It’s Sunday.
Maybe there’s a lortab somewhere up this piece.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:28 pm
Good job kid. *slaps Bub’s butt Bobby Cox style*
October 10th, 2010 at 8:52 pm
Holy Moses. They actually made the ESPN headline:
“Conrad Errors Lift Giants by Braves.”
It really starts to feel like there really are baseball gods and they really, truly, actually, hate the Atlanta Braves and their fans.
October 10th, 2010 at 9:34 pm
Poor Conrad. Huddy says they love him more than ever which must make him feel worse than EVER.
October 10th, 2010 at 9:38 pm
I dunno. I think that would make me feel better. I mean, if he’d said some garbage about it not really being his fault, that would be worse. But “love,” that’s good stuff.
October 10th, 2010 at 9:44 pm
What makes it so awful is that Brooks is a marginal player already. This is almost definitely the end of his major league career. It’s not like when Uggla got the yips in the all star game. This will be his baseball story for his entire life: clutch heroics from a Hollywood script during the regular season, and then the Coen Brothers took over the writing for the playoffs.
Hell, I think I’m about to write him a fan letter of support or something. I honestly feel *almost* as bad for Conrad as I do about the game being lost.
October 10th, 2010 at 9:48 pm
I think that’s a great idea. He’ll unfortunately get plenty of the other kind. Tell him i only hated him for a little bit.
October 10th, 2010 at 9:53 pm
I’m also sending him a book called “How to Budget $450,000 so that it lasts the rest of your life”
