Steve, I think you just like more things than Curt (and me). It’s a sign of a healthy psyche, by the way.
Wanna share some drugs, Curt?

Did you guys notice that the Capitol Ave guy hates the Fredi hire and likes Bobby Cox?? I was surprised by that one.

I MISS BAAAAAAASEBAAAAAAAAAALL!!!!!
November 30th, 2010 at 12:23 am
Anybody notice the year Charlie Morton had in P-burgh? 2-12, 7+ERA, and the awfullest WHIP I’ve seen on a full year of starting in quite some time: 1.73
I hate it. That’s most I’ve ever wanted to see a traded pitcher succeed, especially since … what harm could he do in Pittsburgh?

New ajc blog title is depressing.

Anyone notice the year Nate had for us?
It’s the hate that keeps me warm, Bub

“Anyone notice the year Nate had for us?”
On second thought, I hope Charlie Morton pitches a 9786.45 ERA next year and lodges a fastball in McCutchen’s eye socket.

Curt – I will tell you that my wife thought Despicable Me was utterly fantastic. So I’ll give you that and concede that Megamind may have paled in comparison. But you’re still a monster.
November 30th, 2010 at 11:11 pm
Agreed. Your wife is a wonderful and brilliant woman.

I WANT BASEBALL NOOOOOOOW!!!!!!!!
We should go ahead and schedule a suicide watch for Anne in case the worst happens and Diaz gets traded.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:49 am
Leah – definitely. In fact, we removed all electrical cords, belts and bed sheets from Anne’s house last weekend.
December 1st, 2010 at 11:49 am
I thought Megamind was great. First movie that my entire family sat through from beginning to end (maybe that added to why I loved it). Didn’t see Despicable Me. Also saw Tangled this weekend . . . it was . . . a movie. My kids loved it.
Is anyone watching the Walking Dead? It is amazing. Best show on TV. You have to like zombie movies to enjoy it. Takes place in and around Atlanta. I could not recommend it more. Do not let your kids watch it.
December 1st, 2010 at 12:43 pm
Ham, I keep trying to remind myself about Walking Dead, and so many people have told me about it, and I keep forgetting. Shame on me.
Netflix it is.
December 1st, 2010 at 1:20 pm
Walking Dead? Is that another name for Lost? I don’t do zombies. Vampires and witches, yes. Zombies, not since they invaded Longbourn and Pemberly.
December 1st, 2010 at 1:51 pm
I am using all my willpower to make the Braves keep Diaz.
*closes eyes and squints toward Atlanta*
C’mon, Brewers, up the offer…
December 1st, 2010 at 1:52 pm
Yeah, I just pointed my will at Atlanta to talk to the Brewers. Sorry, Matty, I failed you.
December 1st, 2010 at 3:04 pm
KK’s reactions to Atlanta’s attempts to send him back to Japan, while they are on the very mild end of the sports ego spectrum, make me reconsider the moral golden boy status I previously endowed(sp?) him with.
C’mon, Kenshin, you made a ton of dough here, go and pitch where you are very good at it.
December 1st, 2010 at 3:05 pm
And yeah, I guess that means I should retract my high-horsed scolding I layed on everyone for suggesting he might be like that.
December 1st, 2010 at 6:41 pm
Dammit, dammit, dammit. I can’t believe Diaz is really, seriously going to be gone. I’m physically ill. This hurts almost as bad as the Conrad grounder. Has he really out-stayed his value? I just don’t see it. Gosh, what a freaking loss.
December 1st, 2010 at 6:49 pm
“The Braves have not made any contact with Diaz or his agent, Larry Reynolds, since the season ended. ” – Bowman
Frank, how about working on that? Is that standard procedure or something in baseball? Don’t call us… we’ll … not call you? It’s Matt fraking Diaz. How about some communication?
December 1st, 2010 at 9:19 pm
My fear is Matty in a Philly uniform next season.
December 1st, 2010 at 10:57 pm
It’s a valid fear.
December 1st, 2010 at 11:42 pm
wha…huh…why is this happening? I feel so discombobulated! Anne, you may need to double up on the anti-depressants for a few days. Bub, when were you EVER on a high horse?
Seriously, Matt Diaz will be the Wes Helms of the future if he’s sent to a team in the NL East.
December 2nd, 2010 at 12:46 am
Anyone seen the Road? It’s a Cormac McCarthy book they made into a movie with Viggo Mortensen? Really good, but GRIM. Wow.
December 2nd, 2010 at 12:47 am
And my personal belief is Hinske leaves and Diaz stays.
