My gut aches just thinking about eating one, much less a whole bag full. Brandon, the Rev grew up in B’Ham!

Who is the rev? And white castle is much better than crystals.

Brandon, my old lady is from DC, so maybe a Nats game is in our future. That might be worse than the Krystals.
I can always mail you a GC. This is going down as a digital handshake with plenty of witnesses. If you win, we all win.
Leah, i started eating Krystals when I was a wee lad. My paternal grandparents used to take us to eat there and my whole meal would consist of one krystal hamburger. I didn’t like cheese. They also used to make the best chocolate milkshakes, which sadly, they don’t anymore. Memories.

On a baseball note, can’t count how many times I have read Teheran’s name in coverage of the Braves, the NL East, and even MLB. People think he is the truth. 2012 or 13 might be worth the wait.

Sounds great agreed but what’s a GC?

Brandon is the only person on this blog more optimistic than Steve.

Cool thanks curt. Also yes I’m optimistic. Y not be. Wren has done a good job this year, given the resources he had been given.

The Rev=my fantastic husband. I just found out a co-worker is a huge Mets fan. What am I supposed to do with that? I told him I needed time to process.

The Avett Brothers
We’re safe and sound in L.A. — getting ready to practice with Bob Dylan & Mumford & Sons… Woah! Tune in to the Grammys on Sunday!
Oh yes…that’s right. The best band EVER on the Grammys!

Happy pitchers and catchers report day.

Kate, Happy pitchers and catchers report day back at you. Pretty damn exciting. First workout is tomorrow. And first full team workout is Saturday, the 19th.
Leah – what did you think about the Avett Bros last night? I thought they sounded great. And what a thrill it must have been for them and Mumford to play with Dylan. And loved that they pulled out Maggie’s Farm for the song. What a great tune. Richie Havens does an amazing cover of it, as well. Found this live performance that mixes in Won’t Get Fooled Again. Pretty great. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1bnhJVIz7g

Steve, I thought they were awesome. Compared to their concerts they were extremely subdued but there were quite a few people on that stage and I’m sure there were some nerves involved. Besides Scott being in desperate need of a shave I thought it was just about perfect.

That whole show last night seemed to be plagued by amateurish production. They didn’t even have a mic for the backing vocalist for the Avett Bros and had to rush one out after the song had started.
That segment was nice. I loved Cee-lo with the puppets.

“I was happy for the team,” Prado said. “All my teammates — I talked to Brian [McCann] and all those guys — they were pretty excited about Uggla. For now this is not about me, this is about the team, and all those guys who put last season together. We have to get together again and do it again.”
I love Prado.

“He said the entire team would take more infield practice during the regular season, something recent Braves teams did rarely”
Me likey.

My will has been broken. A retired lawyer friend of mine runs (what he calls) a “baseball syndicate” and one of their members has dropped out, and I’ve been offered an in. Section 217, Row 4, 20 game four-ticket packs – chosen at random. I should be saving up for a wedding, but…my guests won’t mind no open bar if it means baseball happiness, right??
February 17th, 2011 at 9:48 am
Priorities, Anne. You might get married 10 times, there’s only one baseball team.
February 17th, 2011 at 10:54 am
Hah!!! Anne, you will barely remember the wedding. Baseball memories last a lifetime.
