And NOW Venters is warming up?????
Fredi Gonzalez if freaking brain dead. I can’t freaking stand our ridiculously stupid manager.
July 3rd, 2011 at 4:49 pm
What a pansy rookie ump who just wanted to get out of the hot sun. What a punk. The last two pitches called for strikes were no where near the plate.
July 3rd, 2011 at 4:49 pm
I’m not sure how much I can take of this guy. He tried his whole soul best to lose us the game yesterday, and now he does lose us the sweep.
July 3rd, 2011 at 4:51 pm
The Florida fans warned us about Fredi G. I’m becoming less and less a fan of him.
July 3rd, 2011 at 5:03 pm
I can’t believe how much Fredi makes me miss Bobby. Chipper looked absolutely disgusted with Proctor, maybe that will finally get him released.
July 3rd, 2011 at 5:22 pm
Kate, could not agree more with everything you said. Proctor was throwing bp pitches in a 1 run game. Why are we using the Yankees leftovers. Get him out of here.
July 3rd, 2011 at 7:08 pm
Amazing thing about Proctor is that the Braves handcuffed themselves to him. When the sent him to Gwinnett, they guaranteed he would be brought up by a certain date, regardless of how he had pitched. Now it seems they don’t want to admit their mistake. The loss of Peter Moylan has been greatly understated.
July 3rd, 2011 at 7:49 pm
Phillies, DBacks, Brewers, Cardinals all lost. That does a lot to soothe the wounds.
July 3rd, 2011 at 8:09 pm
Fredi: “ Shoot, Scotty has done a hell of a job for us. Everything was in place for us to get through that seventh inning.”
*head explodes*

#284 – But Bub, he was all folksy and said “shoot” to start the sentence. That should make it all better.
July 3rd, 2011 at 11:17 pm
All – We recorded a great mid-season show tonight but lost it to technical difficulties. Sad but true. We’re shooting for a Tuesday night do-over. Stay tuned.
July 3rd, 2011 at 11:23 pm
Borderline tragic…
I was really looking forward to Curt laying into Fredi for the Scott Proctor fiasco this afternoon. I’m also guessing Fredi won’t be getting an A on his mid term.
July 3rd, 2011 at 11:33 pm
Aw, dudes. Sorry you lost the work you put in, I know that must be frustrating. Look forward to the do-over.
Happy Independence Day, everyone.

Steve…WHAT?!?!?!? Dang. Sorry for you guys, that’s too bad. Whenever it comes, the next podcast will be thoroughly enjoyed!

That’s one of the best in game photo’s I’ve seen in a while. It’s Ross coming to home plate to be greeted by the three he knocked in with his GS plus Hudson in the on deck circle. A really great shot.
July 4th, 2011 at 7:08 am
Hey Folks – thanks. And it’s true, there was not a love for Fredi or Proctor in the lost show.
#290 – Awesome. Love it.
July 4th, 2011 at 7:12 am
And Happy 4th of July everyone. The family is taking off for north Georgia this morning to drop the first born off at his first sleep away (baseball) camp.
July 4th, 2011 at 7:12 am
Anyone seen Cars 2 yet? Another loss from last night was my scathing review.
July 4th, 2011 at 9:02 am
So sad…no show? Oh well, I’m on vacay anyway and head back to work on Wed. So it’s kinda perfect but sorry for work lost. Can you tell us this week’s predictions? Hope the kid has fun at camp…you told him to sleep with one eye open right?
July 4th, 2011 at 9:03 am
Oh and I saw Cars 2 while heavily medicated and thought it was boring so it must have been very bad. I thought the Winnie the Pooh preview was hilarious.
July 4th, 2011 at 9:32 am
I put this question out on the “show” last night, but I am sure I will forget to re-ask on the re-do. What is Uggla’s WAR (or in this case LBR – losses below replacement player)? And does he have the worse one considering how much he makes? How many millions does he make per L (or negative W)?
Does that question even make sense? Bub, help me out.
July 4th, 2011 at 10:02 am
Pretty cool that the players voted Chipper an all star. The Vulture made the squad, too. Awesome. I’m pleased with our four selections, but I thought Hanson deserved a nod, especially if he pitches well tonight.
July 4th, 2011 at 10:24 am
Ham, It makes complete sense to me. Kind of like when someone broke down how much Hampton was paid for each pitch, strike, ball, etc. I am just not smart enough to do it!
July 4th, 2011 at 10:29 am
Steve, I hate that your Cars 2 slam was lost. I’m a complete Pixar fanboy, and I refuse to watch it. I could tell by the trailers they totally sold out for merchandising and the reviews just confirmed it. I couldn’t possibly be more bummed out about it. Pixar held sacred status for me in an otherwise generally bankrupt film industry. A real “et tu, Brute?” moment.
Alright, down to the lake to shoot bottle rockets into the tornado wreckage…
July 4th, 2011 at 11:03 am
Ham, Dan’s given us a loss of 0.7 games at a cost of around 5 million.
Adam Dunn’s got him beat with a loss of 1.2 games at 6 million.
Chone Figgins, for about 5 million, has given the Mariners a loss of 1.3 games.
And that’s the first two players that popped into my limited head, there’s no chart of this info per se, so I’d just have to think of a player that’s sucking and go find the figures. I’d be surprised if Dan’s in the top 10, but I could be wrong. His homers have kept his value from reaching the heights of travesty.
Okay, now I’m really gone.
