I’ve never been a Mets fan more than I am now lol. Wow what a comeback, 6 runs in the 9th, I would of never guessed that! Is the Cardinals luck finally running out? Let’s hope so! And let’s beat Strausburg!! GO BRAVES!!
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:20 pm
Wow! It’s about time Willie Harris started to Harrass somebody else for a change!

Proctor is pitching for the Yankees right now. He just gave up a walk, a single, and TWO HOME RUNS! Sounds very familiar.

Best game the Braves didn’t play all year.
This game could kill the Cards and revive the Braves. Huge huge night!!!!
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:43 pm
Agreed about the comeback. Unbelievably huge. And, FINALLY, a gut punch for the Cards. We must keep this momentum and win tomorrow night.
September 22nd, 2011 at 8:58 pm
Funny how we built momentum by not playing. Maybe we should not play more often.

128: How in the world do the Yanks take back Proctor? Who’s proctor’s agent??

In the 9th inning of that Mets-Cardinals game, several ex-Braves had great contributions. Furcal made a crucial error, and Harris drove in the go-ahead runs. Omar Infante didn’t get the memo earlier this week.

Things like this make it very difficult to continue my pessimism. Quick Curt…a little help?

Last year’s Hudson vs. Strasburg was one of the best games of the year. I’m hoping for a repeat performance.

LEAH, MORE POSITIVES (sort of). KILL ME
The Braves have been nearly as cold (7-13 since September 2) as the Cards have been hot, but the Braves could go 2-4 the rest of the way and the Cardinals would have to go 5-1 to win the wild card outright. If the Braves split their remaining schedule, 5-1 would only force a playoff game. This race isn’t over, but the Cardinals’ chances just got a lot slimmer.

Hopefully the game gets rained out so we wont have to face Strasburg. Double headers seem to serve us well.

Moylan injured. Hanson pulled after 2 innings today because of scapula pain and he’s now definitely not pitching in the Phillies series. And Gonzo still injured. Effing eff!
September 23rd, 2011 at 5:26 pm
Dammit. I just heard about all the injuries too. The baseball gods arent happy with us right now. But let’s just imagine how sweet it would be the win the WS in spite of it all.

Great start
September 23rd, 2011 at 7:42 pm
Certainly is sad when in the last five days, the only time the Braves gained ground in the Wild Card race was the day they didn’t play…
September 23rd, 2011 at 8:33 pm
GREAT START. Way to keep the momentum of yesterday and not let it slip away.

Wasn’t it no-brainer to pull Hudson after he obviously tweaked his neck/shoulder?
September 23rd, 2011 at 9:52 pm
Yes.
September 23rd, 2011 at 10:06 pm
I’m worried about Jonny, still.

Cubs 4-1 in the 8 th … Cmon
September 23rd, 2011 at 10:45 pm
Holy shnikies, the Cubs are up 4-1 in the bottom of the 8th! I’m sure that the Cubs would love to stand in the way of their division rivals at such an important time in the Cards’ season. 3 games up with 5 left to play?!?!? Yes, please.
And holy shnikies, I hope that Hudson’s okay. Cause if his injury/aggravation is a lingering one and he can’t pitch in the NLDS, then it’s Lowe and the rookies with an exhausted bullpen behind them. YIKES. Please Jeff Porter, work your magic as the team’s trainer and make sure Huddy’s okay!
