    Shaun Says:

Time to trade JJ right now! Hurry!

    Curt Says:

I’m out seeing an 70s cover band

  3. 103
    Curt Says:

    Or a 70s cover band

    Danny Says:

I think he killed “it” Bub!

    Steve Says:

What an unreal night from JJ. I was nothing but wrong about his start tonight. Unbelievable performance.

    Ham Says:

How do we feel about the potential of Youkilis becoming a Brave? Apparently we have been scouting him a lot over the past few weeks.

Stevie, say it – “Hammy was right(er than me).”

  7. 107
    Steve Says:

OK, Hammy. You were right, righter, rightest.

Youkilis seems like a very expensive bench solution. For numbers that have been unimpressive this year.

  8. 108
    Curt Says:

I would like to apologize to JJ and his mom

    Shaun Says:

I wouldn’t mind Youkilis if the Red Sox pay a huge chunk of his salary. That may be more of a possibility than we think. It seems the Sox want to move on to Middlebrooks for good. And I don’t know how much anyone will give up for a 33-year-old Youkilis with an 81 OPS+ this season. And he’s a “old 33″ with so much wear and tear. I doubt there is a bidding war for Youkilis. The Sox may take what they can get and pay a chunk of salary.

    Leah Says:

Did JJ look as masterful as the box score implies?

  11. 111
    Walker Says:

Great game to watch. Solid baseball.

    Adam Says:

@110 He gave up a couple of hard hit balls in the 7th, but for the first six innings all he gave up was a dinky single. I would say he looked pretty dominate.

    Adam Says:

hard hit balls in the 8th*

    first seven innings*

    I hate numbers.

    Bubdylan Says:

I’m among those who thought JJ would return to 3-4 starter ability, but I thought he’d get slaughtered by the Sox. That game seemed pretty huge all around. Wish the velocity had been higher, but he looked good.

    Ham Says:

I was really impressed with how his slider looked. I agree that he has a need for more speed, but that was a gutty performance. Very happy for him (and for us).

    David Says:

I bet the Red Sox fans feel like we do when we’ve been dominated by guys like Capuano when he was with the Mets last season.

  17. 117
    Bubdylan Says:

Delgado got the treatment I expected JJ to get from these Sox. They can rake.

  18. 118
    Curt Says:

Oh no. Andrew Miller. Another guy who can only
    Pitch against Atlanta

  19. 119
    Curt Says:

    And there you go

  20. 120
    Adam Says:

    well that was unlucky.

  21. 121
    Danny Says:

Tough loss! I just can’t imagine trading JJ for anyone who will wear the uniform for less than three or or four years. I have always revered his upside, much like Heyward. He could end up being our ace. I think his injuries and record could put even Scott Boras against the ropes. I hope we can hang on to his talent.

  22. 122
    Nate Says:

Lol, someone actually told you guys to get bent in a tweet. I haven’t heard anyone other than Bart Simpson say that ever. I guess you really can’t expect too much from someone using the handle johnnyrod1.

I know I’m late to the party, but way to go Jair!

  23. 123
    Kate Says:

I’m so glad Medlen is in the bullpen where we really need him.

  24. 124
    Curt Says:

Maybe not for long after these 2 starts

  25. 125
    Adam Says:

I thought we were going to come back for like 2 seconds but then Minor had to go and ruin everything.
