@74 – Agreed. The fastball and the devastating curve. He could not have looked better.

Remember last year when Venters was so lights out?

I really wanted to see Kimbrel face Trout.

I was a bit worried about Craig, just because of the temptation for the 100 MPH guys to amp it up to the max (see Verlander, Justin) in the ASG and miss their spots. But he was perfect. Seriously, almost as thrilled with that performance as McCann’s game-winner. Not quite, but almost.

Dude’s hat is stupid.

This will make you sick. How could we be locked into a tv deal this bad?

And for 30 years or something. Ruinous
July 10th, 2012 at 11:18 pm
Good show, NL. Whipped ‘em. I think we’re in their heads ever since McCann.
July 10th, 2012 at 11:19 pm
Yeah! Game 7 of the World Series will be at Turner Field.

The team with home field advantage has won 21 of the last 26 WS and 9 straight game 7s.

Buster onley just tweeted about the possibility of a Prado for Justin Upton trade.

Boo

@88 – i am sure smarter people than me know this answer, but why would we even consider that? Prado is arguably our best player right now. We need pitching.
July 11th, 2012 at 3:26 pm
@88 – Just saw his tweet. Sounds like a great deal of stuff made up in his head because it makes sense to him.
July 11th, 2012 at 3:27 pm
@91 – gives us a center fielder next year when we lose Bourn.

@93 Good point Curt. You are awesome
July 11th, 2012 at 4:27 pm
How do you think that makes Prado feel to hear he may be on the block again.
July 11th, 2012 at 4:46 pm
#91-94 made my day.

#90 brought a tear to my eye. You’ve come a long way Hammy. Look at-cha…all grown up.

In a vacuum, I think Prado for Upton is a no-doubter for the Braves. The only thing is that the Braves would still need to find a thirdbaseman next year and there is no guarantee at all that Upton outplays Prado this year.
If the Braves could get a solid, cheap, young thirdbaseman in the deal, maybe it works. But I don’t think the D-Backs have one of those. Or if they could do a deal without including Prado, that would be nice. But the Diamondbacks are loaded with young pitchers, so they would likely want position players for Upton.
I read somewhere that all the Upton trade talk is just an attempt to motivate him. Could also be just to see if a team would blow them away with an offer. Who knows?

As we head into the 2nd half, with so much MORE Chipper chat about to happen – apologies for asking this if it’s been asked before…I think the Braves went to the post-season in Chipper’s rookie year (199…3??). Assuming we go this year, his last, is he in very small company with other fellows who went to the post- in their Rookie Year and in his Final Year?

Did y’all know that Cabrera’s walk-off hit in game 7 of the 1992 NLCS is the ONLY Game 7 walk off hit in baseball history that took a team from being behind in the score to winning the game?
