Neither is our starting pitching

#101: this.
And if we do snag a WC spot and spend up Hudson in a one-game play off, then we get to face someone’s Ace, #2, and #3 with some collection of Hanson, Jurrjens, Sheets, and Minor. That might be the worst post-season pitching line-up I’ve ever seen (again, subtracting Hudson, who wouldn’t be available at the top).
It’s a shame. With Beachy and Vizcaino, we’d have enough to back up a Bourn-led line-up. But next year, when they come back, no Bourn and no Chipper. I’m afraid this team is doomed to flirt with greatness and never get there.

I would like to propose that we give up Delgado, Minor and a couple more prospects (as many as it takes) to go after Felix Hernandez. Don’t you think that the M’s could be persuaded that they are sellers? Also, I think he is signed through 2014, so we would get two seasons after this one before we had to worry about resigning.
Am I crazy? Could we even put together a package that would make the M’s interested? Should we?

Walker, why you gotta crush a brother’s dream like that? Facts shmacts.

How big is this series. Well with a four game series, the Braves could leave Washington at best one-half game up in first place, or at worst, 7 ½ games back. Thats a HUGE swing.

Has anybody seen a comprehensive list of the victims of the Aurora shooting?
July 20th, 2012 at 7:24 pm
great start. ugh.
July 20th, 2012 at 7:27 pm
Oh dear . . .
July 20th, 2012 at 7:29 pm
Yeah, team
July 20th, 2012 at 7:30 pm
Bub, I don’t think they have identified any if not all of the victims yet.
July 20th, 2012 at 7:34 pm
Tommy’s got a lot of wins for a guy with a 4 and a quarter ERA.
July 20th, 2012 at 7:40 pm
I feel like I am stealing that $20
July 20th, 2012 at 7:44 pm
How much longer is Simmons out for?
July 20th, 2012 at 7:44 pm
Of course they have 2 on and 2 outs and get Morse. We get Janish and Hanson
July 20th, 2012 at 7:48 pm
#114, why? Can he pitch?
July 20th, 2012 at 8:04 pm
Guess it doesn’t matter if it is Janish and Hanson or Chipper and Freeman. Suck
July 20th, 2012 at 8:10 pm
It’s weird how much frustration I feel towards a team that’s 8-2 over it’s last ten games.
July 20th, 2012 at 8:25 pm
We’re 0-8 with RISP this game and it’s only the 4th inning.
July 20th, 2012 at 8:27 pm
@118 – because this is a pretty damn big series. And to give up 3 in the first and squander a bunch of opportunities afterward. Frustrating as hell so far.
July 20th, 2012 at 8:40 pm
And good night
July 20th, 2012 at 9:06 pm
We have inconsistent starters and 3 black holes in the lineup. Go get Dempster or Grienke now and Andrelton please hurry.
July 20th, 2012 at 10:19 pm
Never say die
July 20th, 2012 at 10:22 pm
And in the 9th we have Uggla, Janish, and a pinch hitter…at least we came close.
July 20th, 2012 at 10:22 pm
Well… this is something anyway.
I hate hope.
