Fun game. Uggla’s homer truly awesome. You really can see me going crazy on the front row…white shirt kid next to me in a red shirt. Too tired to write in complete sentences go braves and good night.

@51: Is that you above the O in GEICO?
August 16th, 2012 at 7:52 am
51 — That’s awesome! Isn’t it the best when you’re at the game and you can see the trajectory of the ball and know right away that it’s a homer? And when it’s coming right at you — that’s pretty cool too. I was at Beachy’s complete game in May and Freddie’s HR landed a row behind me and about 5 seats to my right.

#52 Yep! That’s us! I cheer like such a girl. There was the funniest heckler behind us wearing out Quentin. He kept calling him Jonny Damon and would hollar 27 million. So funny.

Leah, awesome!
August 16th, 2012 at 10:51 am
Leah, nice work. I think you and your son made up a tenth of the crowd last night. Yikes.
August 16th, 2012 at 12:44 pm
@56 Very small crowd. Disturbingly so.
August 16th, 2012 at 1:38 pm
2nd smallest of the season
August 16th, 2012 at 2:19 pm
Is calling someone Johnny Damon an insult now?
August 16th, 2012 at 8:17 pm
I just realized low activity on the comments section means we are winning. High activity means something isn’t right. I like how it is now.

Can I gloat more about Medlen?
August 16th, 2012 at 8:43 pm
I am really loving this team right now. Go Chipper! Epic night.
August 16th, 2012 at 8:44 pm
Chipper homers twice (on his bobble head night), Heyward homers, Medlen looks dominant, and the Nationals have the night off so we’re guaranteed to make up ground if this lead holds. Pretty good night I’d say.
August 16th, 2012 at 8:59 pm
You can’t take Medlen out the rotation. A 3rd straight amazing start clinches it. Tommy, you don’t have to go home but you got to get the hell out of the rotation. Either you or Minor.
August 16th, 2012 at 9:06 pm
Really fun game to be at. Hammer won the tool race.
August 16th, 2012 at 9:43 pm
Medlen.
August 16th, 2012 at 9:44 pm
Wow Wow and Wow. One of the most well played games all year. The only things that stand in this team’s way are the Nationals and a coin flip game.
August 16th, 2012 at 9:57 pm
MEDLEN HOLY S***
August 16th, 2012 at 9:58 pm
Holy smokes. Raise your hand if you had Medlen down for a CGSO this year. That kid’s got moxie.
August 16th, 2012 at 10:12 pm
20 games over .500. Whew. Its been a long hard road.More work to be done.
August 16th, 2012 at 10:17 pm
“and miles to go before I sleep…” (for Curt)
August 16th, 2012 at 11:28 pm
Was there tonight with all 3 of my kids (a first) so it was pretty special going in. But that game was something else. Post season wins aside, I can’t remember enjoying a game more. And there really is something soooooo goose bump inducing about a curtain call. And to demand two in the same night, from Chipper no less. It was a special night. And you layer Medlen’s performance and the defense over it all. Just unbelievable.
August 16th, 2012 at 11:50 pm
So Steve, you had a good time then? Just to be clear.
August 17th, 2012 at 12:09 am
@73 – it was ok.
As I see it, the three starting pitchers this weekend against the Dodgers (Hanson, Sheets and Minor) are the three that are truly battling for starting rotation spots in September. Huddy, Medlen and Maholm are in.
August 17th, 2012 at 12:28 am
74, agreed, with the caveat (sp?) that Sheets’s position is his to lose.
