Huddy and Meds are Clemson fans? 8)

I can’t wait to hear what the postseason hope meter is this week….this is a nightmare all over again…
September 2nd, 2012 at 9:00 am
Bub, it has NOT been a happy home the last 14 hours or so. Our poor children.
September 2nd, 2012 at 12:50 pm
Leah, tell him Bama is taking applications for new fans. Hope that helps.
(I’m really not gloating; I think Michigan is butt-awful and I’ve seen this script before. I expect Bama to get caught off guard & lose one. Then lose one or two more out of deflation.)
Anyway… go Braves?
September 2nd, 2012 at 12:50 pm
Can this week’s show be called “Braves wrong the ship”?
September 2nd, 2012 at 12:51 pm
Or, in opposite to “right,” how about “Braves left the ship”?
September 2nd, 2012 at 3:37 pm
Braves wreck the ship? Braves ship the bed?
Reminder: No show tonight due to the holiday. And depression. We will be back on tomorrow night.

the suckfest continues.

I hate baseball.
September 2nd, 2012 at 5:41 pm
1st inning. 0-4 with RISP. Words can’t even describe.
September 2nd, 2012 at 6:20 pm
Of the 162 games of baseball, I watch or listen to about 100. That’s three hundred hours per year. Plus time online celebrating or lamenting, so double that. 600 hours per year. There are 112 waking hours in a week. That’s 5.35 entire waking weeks spent on this per year.
5.35 entire waking weeks. On this. This product. This very, very bad product. I hate the Braves and I hate myself for pouring out this much of my life on them. They seriously, absolutely, disgustingly, suck dirt.

On the bright side, we might be done with Fredi
September 2nd, 2012 at 7:27 pm
On another bright side, we inexplicably still hold a semi comfortable wild card lead. But come back to me in a week and this could change if we don’t start playing better.
I wonder if it’s conditioning. Does this team physically run into a brick wall in September? Remember in 2010 when we barely made the playoffs, we a run down bunch that September too.

113:Yeah, we thought that last September about the comfortable lead in the WC.
I’ll take knowing now by not getting in then some major collapse — but I guess there’s really not much of a difference at this point in the season. Days are just falling off of the calendar now and it’s down to where every game counts just like in football.
At least in 2010 we didn’t have a massive collapse like 2011 and apparently 2012.
It does kinda make you wonder what’s going on in the clubhouse at this time of the season. Do guys really like to play for Fredi?

retraction.
September 2nd, 2012 at 8:34 pm
That’s the most insane thing I’ve seen since … I dunno … Brooks Conrad.
September 2nd, 2012 at 8:36 pm
THE MAN IS A HERO! Glad I didn’t stop watching! WOW!
September 2nd, 2012 at 8:38 pm
I did stop watching. Turned it back on about one minute ago, looked at score, looked at men on bases, looked at Chipper, looked at Paps, pitch, HR, game over.
September 2nd, 2012 at 8:51 pm
I went to the car (to go to a store that was already closed) and I heard this noise as if my radio was not tuned in. Then I heard Jim Power come back from his apparent long paus and said, can you believe what just happened?
Jim Powell is not my favorite annoucer, in fact, I don’t care for him at all. But I gotta tell ya something, this was not only his greatest call, it was a call for Braves Nation all time. That call ranks up there with Skip Carey’s Braves Win call. If you all get a chance to hear it, you gotta, it was a great call!
September 2nd, 2012 at 8:53 pm
Better than his, “and this stadium is upside down!” call? Gotta try and find it.
September 2nd, 2012 at 8:54 pm
Oh yes, Bub. Really, it was an outstanding call.
September 2nd, 2012 at 8:55 pm
I can’t find it just yet but I’ll bet you a week’s pay that MLB network will feature it because I can’t imagine Chip topping this call.
September 2nd, 2012 at 9:03 pm
Can’t wait to hear it. I like his big calls better than his … all the other stuff he says.
September 2nd, 2012 at 9:22 pm
I think his big calls are dissapointing… and don’t even mention Don Sutton’s monotoned, fake enthusiastic calls. No, this one, because of the whole situation will go down as one of the best of Chipper’s and Braves history.
September 2nd, 2012 at 11:09 pm
First off, UNBELIEVABLE. And I’ll fully admit that I stopped watching in the 5th inning and was catching up on Louis episodes with my wife when I got a text from a buddy saying “can you f***ing believe it!?” I knew right then we’d come back and won, but it was far better than I’d imagined. I’ve watched the Prado double and Chipper HR about 15 times so far. So great.
And whose call are we talking about? Jim Powell’s? I hope so, because you hear Chip’s call on the video and it sucks as usual.
