Wow, doesn’t take much to feel like we’re never gonna win again.

Hang in there. Gonna have games like that. Or innings like that. Bigger issue is that once again, we can’t get a big hit when we need it.

23 — Venters gets, and probably deserves, a lot of the blame, but there’s plenty of it to go around in the game. When your offense gets 10 hits and only scores once, that doesn’t leave your bullpen much room at all. Not to mention getting thrown out on the basepaths what, 4 times? 5?

You can’t walk a guy trying to give you an out. the Braves have one of the best defensive teams in MLB, barring last night. You have to let those guys make plays behind you. and Durbin didn’t help. did he walk 2 or 3 guys? gotta shake it off.

@28 – I agree. How about the inning before where Bourn came up with bases loaded and two outs and didn’t get a hit. The whole complexion of the game changes there with a single.
That said, I’m done with Venters. I don’t think he should be on that type of roster that happens in October for certain teams.

Looks like our offense is gone again.
September 11th, 2012 at 9:58 pm
Who is Overbay anyway? Seriously, never heard of the guy.
September 11th, 2012 at 10:22 pm
Take notes Braves. That’s how you score with RISP.
September 11th, 2012 at 10:23 pm
Turns out I’m not checking the Nats score any more
September 11th, 2012 at 10:49 pm
@37 – No kidding. All that 5.5 momentum is looooong gone. 7.5 games back and the sense that we’ll never win another game is a bad combo.
What a crap series this has been.

Post-season tix go on sale in…30 minutes. Who’s sucked in? (Go Braves)

200 shows… wow… dont you have anything better to do?
congrats Steve, Hamilton, Curt…you bring lots of amusement our way.
United Airlines blows, just sayin. They make Delta look like heroes. 2 hour delay. Worst punk attitude by 50 year old guy at counter. “OK” he says in I dont care deal with it tone of voice. So I just ate a Big Mac. First time in ages. Its the best food in this part of Ohare. There was no… NO … food in the United Biz lounge. And you pay for drinks?
Oh yeah, and anudder thing, what is up with losing to marginal teams. Always happens at the wrong time.
I like Chicago tho.

What does the “1″ mean by the Braves’ name on the ESPN scoreboard mean? Is that what the sabremetrics folks call a “run”?
September 12th, 2012 at 8:31 pm
Sorry, that was a little too “mean”.
September 12th, 2012 at 9:12 pm
Now it says “2″. I am really confused.
September 12th, 2012 at 9:40 pm
It’s corrected itself, because their’s says 3 now.
September 12th, 2012 at 9:41 pm
Now it says “4″ and I’ve turned the channel.

The good news is that we could call ourselves the “Big Inning Braves”. The bad news is that it refers to our pitchers.
September 12th, 2012 at 9:43 pm
Freddi! U r a idiot! Why leave him in with the bases loaded? He has been pitching out of trouble all night! Fail!!!
September 12th, 2012 at 9:58 pm
Classic Bobby-style of management tonight. What the hell is Fredi thinking tonight???
September 12th, 2012 at 10:17 pm
Can’t wait to hear that the Braves just “ran into a hot team.” The newest way to “tip the cap.” Hey Braves, you just went 7-1. You’re a hot team too.
