@52 – Yes Joe’s unabashed indignation last night at Bucknor and Matheus was almost as good as the win itselt. Great night all around. Hopefully they’ve been awoken from their funk.
I hope we will see a legitimate lineup today. Shouldn’t fredi want to get the division wrapped up? Especially considering what happened two years ago. For all the good things he has done this year, that looked like the old fredi. He needs to decide on an eighth inning setup guy, and someone besides Downs. Carpenter has been the best pitcher recently and fredi should have known that they would pinch hit for the lefty. Then he left him in to face the next right handed batter too. Carpenter was already warm in the pen. Why not bring him in after the first hit given up by Downs? Maybe Fredi is trying to get Downs some confidence going into the playoffs, but putting him in bad situations is not going to help him. Get him some confidence in earlier innings against leftys.
Not pinch hitting for any of the last three batters is inexcusable. Just a terribly managed game all around, from the time he made out the lineup card, to the 27th out.
Thanks for giving me somewhere to vent.
This was the worry when the Braves picked Downs up to begin with. Give Fredi a perfectly good bowling ball for Christmas and he would take it directly outside and hit it with a nine iron.

C. B. stands for Can’t Believe Buckner…
But you have to admit, he tries and tries…
He is probably one of the the most trying MLB umpire I can think of…

LOVE Joe’s response to the idiot “take a seat” relief pitcher from the Nats…
Took it all the way into post game show…
LOVED IT!

Did Jayson Werth have a comment today? The Phillies are better than who again? Who was going to win the division again?
