Show #295: The Braves Come Back to Earth

What’s the biggest problem area? Can we trust Jim Johnson? Too much AJ?

    Fun with Baseball-Reference splits:

So far this season, the Braves are worse in terms of percentage of driving in runners from third with less than two outs than they were in either 2013 or 2014.

They’ve driven in the runner on third with less than two outs 47% of the time this season, 11th in the league. League average is 53%.

Last season, they drove in the runner on third with less than two outs 50% of the time, 7th in the league. League average was 50%.

In 2013, they drove in the runner on third with less than two outs 49% of the time, 9th in the league. League average was 49%.

Strangely, the only thing that got me was all the defensive miscues. They were really bad last week. Take those away and we should have went 3-3 which lines up with what you all are predicting the Braves to be a 500 team.

Oh how awful it was to see Uggla get a hit… much less a “Little League Homerun”

I hear ya’ on the Uggla hit. But, take solace in the fact that he will not amount to much this season.

Now let’s get a good start from Teheran and get another win tonight.

    Worst. Game. Ever.

Uggla continues to kill us in the most ironic of ways!!! Unbelievable.

On a positive note: If loving “too much AJ” is wrong, I don’t want to be right! What was is that Joe said? “Hotter than a dancing bob cat”?! 🙂

    Oh well… Let’s Go Wood!

Will it be the kind of year where Wood gives up a game changing 3 run single to the starting pitcher?@?!?@% I hope not. Need to get something started against the Reds.
