I mentioned Carlyle and Campillo and said that I thought they would even bring Jo Jo up before Hanson. So, by proxy, I was right. And I’m sticking to that. This might be more than one start though, if Glavine is visiting Dr. Andrews, so that might be why they went with Reyes.
Just got back from tonight’s game. What a dreadful mess. No offense. Bennett looked abysmal. It was so bad that Bobby actually brought Boyer in. Moylan and O’Flaherty looked damned good, though. And it felt like it was 45 degrees in the stadium.
Watching that game, the Marlins are really good. They play the way I like baseball to be played. Really aggressive. Stealing bases. Forcing the other team to adjust to their style of play. Not the passive, wait around for the 3-run homer types. And they are going to be trouble this year. It’s a shame they don’t play in a market that appreciates baseball. Note that if they go according to their grand schedule, they should win the WS this year.
And throw O’Flagherty and Campillo out with them. These guys are killing us. i think I was pretty right on when I said that no one out there gives me any sense of optimism. It’s a bad joke that keeps repeating itself year after year.
Not a great sign that we were completely outclassed by the Marlins during that sweep. Add that team to not only the division hunt, by the whole deal with that lineup. We shall see if their young starting pitching can withstand the season, but we didn’t put up much of a fight.

So, the three of us are geniuses! Jo Jo will be making the start on Saturday in place of Glavine.

Curt – I was being sarcastic. I could have sworn we all said Buddy or Campillo. I need to go back to the tape!

Report is a strained rotator cuff. Glavine is saying that if the rehab is going to be too extensive, he is done.

We’ve got to get rid of Boyer and Bennett, right? Please, please tell me that Wren is considering this!
