I truly believe that KK is the only pitcher we have who I have absolutely no faith in. I suppose we shouldn’t be hard on Wren, after all of his great moves, but getting KK instead of a power bat has hurt us greatly.
July 30th, 2009 at 10:14 am
When KK’s on he is spot on. I think he got his feelings hurt a little with some of the crazy calls. I don’t know if the camera angle was funny in FL or what but I can usually tell where the strike zone is. The last two nights it has been nonexistent for me. Oh except for when McCann comes up to bat then it’s HUGE!
July 30th, 2009 at 12:39 pm
Here’s a shocker – I know for Ham in particular – Big Papi used steroids back in 2003. Just came out.
July 30th, 2009 at 1:28 pm
That Bill Hohn thing is unbelievable! How can that be? Why is there not more outrage?
July 30th, 2009 at 3:12 pm
I wonder who on the Braves at the time is on that list. Sheff must be on there.
July 30th, 2009 at 4:06 pm
Right here…found it Steve…all the outrage is stuck in my gut! All of it!
July 30th, 2009 at 6:51 pm
KJ is starting. I really hope this isn’t the end of Prado
July 30th, 2009 at 9:45 pm
No wonder I have no takers for my extra Braves v Dodgers ticket…no one else would be dumb enough to watch such heart-wrenching idiocy LIVE. At least when I key Mike Gonzalez’s truck tomorrow night, I’ll go to jail alone. Go Braves??
July 30th, 2009 at 9:54 pm
I’d come with you Anne if I wasn’t 6 hours away. I’ll wire your bail $ since it doesn’t look like Frank will need it to help with any trading. Remember a week ago when we were all so happy with our steller pitching backed by the awesome offense? V was good tonight but what’s happening to the bullpen? Can we sneak Gload on the team bus and tie up Mortan, leave him in the Marlin’s clubhouse and call it a trade?
July 30th, 2009 at 10:00 pm
Things that are good about being at the game tomorrow: there will be fireworks. In the sky…as opposed to on and near the field, like last night.
July 30th, 2009 at 10:01 pm
Filth and foul in the bottom of the ninth…I miss Meadow.
July 30th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
My naysaying eeeevil plan is working.
July 31st, 2009 at 9:00 am
Better get used to the KJ/Hernandez tandem. Prado and Escobar could both miss the entire Dodgers series. I’d like to find out who hit the ball that got Prado. KJ?
In other news, the team released Jeff Bennett. Finally.
July 31st, 2009 at 10:09 am
Could I dislike Jeff Bennett more? No, I could not. Extremely happy to see him go. And thank God – because you know Bobby could not wait to run him out to the mound for the next 9th inning with bases loaded situation.
Leah – where do you live?
Great win last night (also from the thank God file.) When we miraculously overcame KJ’s two bottom of the 9th blunders I knew it was in the bag.

I live all the way in NC. That’s why I appreciate the podcast community so much. It gets lonely amongst all the Phillies and Yankees fans.
July 31st, 2009 at 10:36 am
I dig me some NC. I did the summer theatre on the Outer Banks in the early ’90′s and just loved it there. And my wife and I are off to Highlands this coming week for a few days.
July 31st, 2009 at 12:06 pm
We love the OBX! Have a great week. Since we are off the subject of ALL things Atlanta Braves I have to say the best thing to ever come out of NC is The Avett Brothers. If you’ve never heard of them check them out TODAY! ‘At The Beach’ is one of my favs. Again…have fun!

What rumor was just dropped – that I missed – on 680 The Fan???? Something about Adam LaRoche and Kasey Kotchman trading places? Am I rumor-mongering? I hate being trapped at a desk some days…
July 31st, 2009 at 4:19 pm
ESPN just confirmed it. Kotchman for LaRoche, straight up. Guess LaRoche has more power than Kotchman. Both good defensive players. Couldn’t we have just kept LaRoche (and all those valued prospects lost in the Tex deal) and just found someone else to trade to Pittsburgh for Mike Gonzalez? What a colossal waste of time and resources to be back having LaRoche at 1B. Think Texas will give us Elvis Andrus back?
July 31st, 2009 at 4:29 pm
It’s rumored that Kotchman & LaRoche will trade places? I never thought anyone would be discussing Adam LaRoche playing in a Braves uniform again. I’m not completely opposed to it; But my position w/ 1B is that ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’ Kotchman is a clutch hitter (IMO), and an incredible defensive asset to this team. Isn’t LaRoche more of a big bat than a ‘hit for average’ guy?
July 31st, 2009 at 4:31 pm
Curt has been longing to hear, “C’mon, Roachy!!” for quite some time now. Just like the olden days.
July 31st, 2009 at 5:15 pm
LaRoche is not having a good year. His batting average is like .248. He strikes out a lot. i guess it’s a change of/return to scenery deal.
That and him not being able to run the bases for fear of pooping himself.
July 31st, 2009 at 5:30 pm
Certainly explains why he & Chipper hung out over the All-Star Break.
July 31st, 2009 at 5:40 pm
Wow, the trade is official now…I wonder if he’s starting for us in ATL tonight.
