(At the game, not at your post, Leah.)

I hate the guy who made the Ted so stinking big!
August 14th, 2009 at 10:06 pm
Sigh.
The boys played a great game. I’m proud of ’em. It hurts, though. G’night.

(Me, too. Leah. But it’s better than playing in a band box.)

First and foremost, and more importantly than this painful, painful loss – Curt and I both despise the wave. Let the record show.
This one has me very, very down (and not insignificantly worried about Soriano – that’s now 5 runs in his last 4 appearances, 2 HRs in his last 4 appearances, ERs in 3 of his last 4 appearances). Ugh.
I take some solace in the fact that we mounted an impressive attempt in the bottom of the 9th and that Victorino made two stunningly good plays at the wall. But… for all my (our) optimism and hope and good times this afternoon on the board we’re 6 freaking games out of 1st. This was a painful two game swing. Dammit. Good night. Get ’em tomorrow.

2 swing game is right. Very deflating. We have to win the next 2. That is all. Had our chance in game 1. 2 swings and 2 amazing plays by Victorino. Depressed.

Apparenty Howard had 22 hr against rhp and 3 against lhp. Bobby, Bobby, Baaaaaahhhhby please look at the stats.

Is Heap tired or just slumping? What’s up with the Heapster? You guys saw him last night, what’d he have to say?
August 15th, 2009 at 10:37 am
Oh, and if there was a cliche for a douche Philly fan, he was sitting 2 rows in front of us, one section over. So terrible.
August 15th, 2009 at 10:43 am
OK Bravos…time to cowboy up. Must win today!
August 15th, 2009 at 1:22 pm
Okay, gotta squeeze in a “Go Bravos” that’ll last a while, school prep just went into overdrive. (Leah, one “commitment issues” remark from you and I’ll stop coming here forever… oh, wait…).
If I get scarce, y’all know the drill. My compulsive ass will be back when my so called life breaks down again.
GOOOOOOOOOOO BRAAAAAAAAAVES!!!!
August 15th, 2009 at 4:57 pm
Like I said…Heap’s on fire!
August 15th, 2009 at 7:05 pm
Hallelujah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
August 15th, 2009 at 7:34 pm
HALLELUJAH IS RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!! We sure needed that one. I gotta give props to Victorino, he’s an S.O.B. of a CF. Like Skip Caray & Joe Simpson were saying last night, if it was Citizens Bank Park we were playing in…we would’ve had two or 3 homers. Who ever said it (on here in the last podcast I think) that Sunday is the most important…they couldn’t be more right. I like our chances with sending Vasquez out there.
GO BRAVES!!!!!!!!!!!

Lidge really looks uncomfortable out there. Amazing after the year he had last year. He looks like the guy the Astros dumped.
The baseball gods taketh and they giveth right back. Go Braves.
August 15th, 2009 at 9:39 pm
CHIP Caray, BluesMan. RIP, Skip. My favorite curmudgeonly comment from Skip in his last year: “Welcome back, folks…the 7th inning brought to you by Golden Moon Casino.” (pause) “…though we’d still have a 7th inning…even if they didn’t.”
August 15th, 2009 at 11:23 pm
Thanks goodness we pulled it out today. I’d have been absolutely beside myself if we were 7 out of 1st today. Lots of great stuff in the game, especially EOF and Gonzo getting out of the jams they were in. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.

Watching the game with a friend and her husband whose a Phillies fan. What was I thinking? If he wasn’t carrying burgers and fries I never would have let him in the house.
August 16th, 2009 at 7:57 pm
If this game gets rained out I might have a heart attack. I have all this angst and excitement left over from sitting through a 4 hour rain delay at Wrigley to see the game get ppd. Please oh Please dont get rained out I need to see a Bravos win tonight!
August 16th, 2009 at 8:23 pm
Wiley – there are so few open days left on the calendar know that they’ll stay as long as it takes to get this one in. Also – I live 4 miles from the stadium and it’s not raining at all at my house – it’s got to let up.
August 16th, 2009 at 8:33 pm
Steve, so jealous. Wish I lived 4 miles from the stadium.
