Colorado and Florida lost. Braves winning. I hate baseball.
August 27th, 2009 at 8:10 pm
Where there’s a Will, there’s a way?
August 27th, 2009 at 8:12 pm
It’s insidious, isn’t it? 5 – 0 now and I’m feeling much better about heading into Philly. And Chipper is now 2 for 2. What slump?
August 27th, 2009 at 8:14 pm
Where were you educated, Steve?
August 27th, 2009 at 8:15 pm
So what was the conclusion from the podcast about Hudson starting? Did Dimino say that meant that Vazquez was gone after this year?
August 27th, 2009 at 8:24 pm
…. jav a seat, Gonzo.
August 27th, 2009 at 8:26 pm
^ see what I did there? ^
Okay, I gotta go study some flipping Spanish. When I’m king, Pig Latin will be recognized by universites as a foriegn language.
Don’t let the bad guys win.
August 27th, 2009 at 8:28 pm
“Universites.” That’s your tax dollars at work, folks.
August 27th, 2009 at 9:06 pm
So, my ever-obsessive brain broke my studies with a probably-needless worry. But, just in case: Steve, you do know I was really wanting to know where you went to school, right? That wasn’t some kind of snarky remark. It’s just that your vocab is pretty smoking.
Okay, returning you to your regular scheduled schizophrenic (sp?) ballteam…
August 27th, 2009 at 9:21 pm
End of 5, let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!
August 27th, 2009 at 9:33 pm
I could have sworn that this blowout was coming last night. I really did. Sigh. Bub – I went to Umass in Amherst. And where are you? Somewhere in Alabama, right? If you don’t want to say because you fear that Anne will stalk you, I understand.
August 27th, 2009 at 10:00 pm
Is it just me or would GA have scored Tuesday night if he had rounded third then like he did tonight? Insidious indeed. Bub, I didn’t know you were from Alabama? The Reverand is from Bama but he cheers for the Tigers. War Eagle…blah blah blah…
August 27th, 2009 at 10:09 pm
With todays technology maybe somebody could superimpose Sid Bream’s run from third over GA’s. Who would win (or lose) the race? Guessing GA would beat SB, but by how much??
August 27th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
Steve’s a big meanie. In other news – I don’t even care about the HR. It was good to see Buddy again.
August 27th, 2009 at 10:41 pm
Buddy and Huddy….trying hard to get excited about their return..
August 27th, 2009 at 10:49 pm
Buddy always makes me nervous. Bub, as long a Matty D is hitting .500 I think you’re safe from Anne. Besides if one of us is a crazy psychopath it’s probably you anyway right?
August 27th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
Steve, yeah, at Jacksonville State, in Alabama, where our school system’s motto is “It’s Better than Mississippi.” Yeah, Anne talks to me so much I do get a little worried.
I guess Umass in Amherst sounds hoity toity enough to spur the occassional polysyllabic bust out.
Anne, it WAS good to see Buddy, homer be damned.
Leah, I might be a psychopath, but I ain’t crazy. Was your fella in Auburn in any years between ’92 & 2000? I was there on and off a bunch, bumming around mostly. Was he a BCM’er? If he was, we might know some of the same people.
August 27th, 2009 at 11:20 pm
Okay, I read to fast. You said he cheers for the tigers and my mind coupled that with the “where’d you go to school” talk with Steve.
The brain cells taken out by beer… they do come back, right?
August 27th, 2009 at 11:21 pm
I also typed “to” fast.
August 27th, 2009 at 11:22 pm
I’m a serial poster.
August 27th, 2009 at 11:26 pm
… which is better than a cereal poster.

… and g’night.
Go Braves. (My hope meter is doing that thing from Iron Giant where he got blown to smithereens and then the parts all started crawling toward each other… stupid sport.)
August 27th, 2009 at 11:30 pm
Tcc – welcome to the board! It’s good to have you.
Anne, please. I kid, because I love.
So, can we do this? Can we go 6 – 1 or 5 – 2 in these next 7? Can we actually beat Cliff Lee? Can Chipper put together consecutive games with a hit? Will Matty hit at least .400? One little blow out tonight and I’m all wound up again.
And Leah – I had that same exact thought about GA rounding the bag at 3rd, looking all fleet of foot as he did. Oh, had we won game 1 against the Pads …
August 28th, 2009 at 7:48 am
Stupid Friars…who need’s em. Bub, he did not go to Auburn but loves it just the same. My Aunt, Uncle and Cousin went to Jack State. I grew up in MS and have the public edumacation to prove it. I even likes to go to the libary. Im very serious and TOTALLY NOT offended by your comment. I feel like we should know eachother.
August 28th, 2009 at 9:02 am
Iron Giant is an underrated gem.
August 28th, 2009 at 10:10 am
Steve, it (I.G.) certainly is. And did you know (Leah is about to be too impressed for mere words) that the director, Brad Bird, is also the director of two Pixar gems: The Incredibles and Ratatouille?
Leah, glad you’re not offended, but of course by “Better than Mississippi,” I was talking about Alabama’s & Mississippi’s perpetual reign at numbers 49 & 50 in U.S. school systems. So… not a serious brag, something like touting Norton as “Better than Corky.”
I went to a library once, too. Couldn’t find any books, though. It’s all a lie from the Gov’ment.
