im still over 5 maybe 6. they can pull it out…this cast was fairly depressing, tho…and norton blows
but looking at GA replay…he was hauling ass a pretty long way and snowconed it at a gallop with the walls closing in…i think that one is at least 50/50. maybe Andruw Jones makes that but not everybody

Don’t be a GA apologist, Will-Bob. Don’t go there. Nobody wins when you do that.
Big game tonight. Huddy on the mound. Really need to win a Monday game. Against the Fish no less.

I think this weeks show is my favorite and here’s why (totally imitated Steve there, did you notice?). I loved listening to Hammy’s reaction to GA’s no catch while replaying it in my head. Also, it’s just fun to hear people as passionate about this team as I am discuss their chances or lack there of. I’m bummed about losing the Phillies series but honestly Phillies didn’t play as well as they could have either. Somehow I find that comforting. Maybe I’m grasping at straws.
Curt, go to your wife as soon as possible and say “Honey, I need a hug.”. Cause clearly you do.
I usually stay away from the hope meter because I can’t handle the stress but I’ve decided to commit. I’m all in. I think Hudson’s return will light a spark under this team. It may be too little too late and I’m not an 8 but I’m not a 2. Last night I was a -1000 but today after listening to reason I’m a solid 6.

Defintely a big night. This is two series losses in a row. Even my Hope Meter cannot sustain many more series losses. And it’s time to put an end to the 1st game loss thing. Enough, already. You know they’re getting tight about it as it is. It’s been SEVEN straight series since we won a game 1. I think that KK pitches the game of his life tonight.

I bet Dos K get’s a no hitter. That’s my prediction.

Oh dear, just noticed the change in the rotation. Thought Steve was kidding. Bball gods, I was kidding…it was a joke…don’t hurt me.

Great show this week guys. Loved the hope meter discussion.
It’s going to be tough to stop the 1st game loss with Josh Johnson going for the fish tonight. Although KK does seem to pitch better when he is up against the other teams ace.

I haven’t had a chance to listen to this weeks episode yet, but will do so tomorrow. I’m sure it will be as entertaining and “cheery” as ever?!? Well. In the meantime I’m going to “Permanent Rally Cap Mode” from now until we clinch a playoff spot!

I swear BC listens to the podcast. Who’s playing CF? Infante. Who’s on the bench? RG!

Nice catch GA..sorry about what I said last night about getting your head stuck in the wall…
August 31st, 2009 at 8:56 pm
OI!
August 31st, 2009 at 9:08 pm
Yes, thank God Infante sat last night. Wouldn’t want him in there. Didn’t need that game.
God bless KK. What a trooper. The guy is basically getting demoted if McLouth doesn’t get hurt again, and goes out and throws this game. He needs a cool nickname like Goldar or something. Ultraman. I’ll work on it.

Twice K ? sorry, that’s awful.
August 31st, 2009 at 9:51 pm
Does the term “home field advantage” really apply to the fish. “That stadium’s lonelier than me on prom night”, said the Reverend. And again we see just how brilliant Steve and his predictions really are.

Hey guys. Great, great show. Throw my hat in with Leah on it being a favorite.
How’s the game going? I swore myself to lay off broadcasts until I catch up my studies, but I gave myself a few posts here at night while I go over flashcards. Are we winning?
August 31st, 2009 at 9:52 pm
Yeah, the early one was Dos K, but that one is kind of lame. I want him to have some kick ass Japanese super hero name.
August 31st, 2009 at 9:52 pm
Wait, so let me get this straight, Infante is better than Gorecki? Are we sure about this? Can we get another 10 game sample size before we rush to a decision? We have time don’t we? What inning is it? C’mon, Smoltzie!!
August 31st, 2009 at 9:53 pm
Leah – You’re right! He does listen (to the podcast – nothing else).
August 31st, 2009 at 9:55 pm
Bub, we won 5-2. Goldar gave up 6 hits and 1 run. Braves didn’t have a hit until the 6th, then Infante had a huge 2 out triple in the 7th to put the Braves up 2-1.
August 31st, 2009 at 9:57 pm
Thanks Curt. Beautiful!
Heh, Goldar. I used to watch that show.
Who pitched for the fish? What did Colorado, SF do?
August 31st, 2009 at 10:02 pm
Johnson and he was blowing doors. He just ran out of gas.
Both idol
August 31st, 2009 at 10:04 pm
Wow. We beat Johnson with KK and Cliff Lee with Lowe, and lost the games around those… baseball is weird.
August 31st, 2009 at 10:06 pm
Another stud pitcher taken down by KK
August 31st, 2009 at 10:08 pm
Tcc, funny… Twice K.
Hey, since he’s cool under pressure, what about Ice K?
August 31st, 2009 at 10:35 pm
I could not have agreed more with the Gorecki thing this week..thats the kind of player that Vazquez pinch hits for on a good night. I would pretty much mentally prepare for a K (dunno how to put them backwards on the computer, but that would be even more realistic) every time he would step up there. It’s just mind numbingly frustrated how BC act….dude was great through the 90′s throwing out those lineups, but it just seems like the regular lineup gets over managed, and the bullpen only has 3 people in it. My philosophy is put your 8 out there every night unless they are hurt or need ONE day off. Gorecki should have probably have 4 or 5 at bats at this point.
