The Padres and Phillies Series.  Tim Hudson’s return to the rotation.  Troubles in center field.  And a contentious Post Season Hope Meter.

I just watched the game on replay. What a weird but fun game.
Good effort from Hudson, McCann uses his glasses for psi-ops, Soriano makes it scary in the 9th, Diaz rules. Chipper sucking huge donkeys…wussupwidat? Needs a few days off, go to a truck pull or a barbecue or something…what does Larry do for fun?

Anyway, this has been such a fun season…and its going to be a shame to make the playoffs and disappoint Curt.

    Curt Says:

I look forward to being disappointed.

Will, I could not agree more. I hope Churchy feels better so Infante can move to 3rd and give Chip a nice rest on the bench next to BC. Speaking of…he’s been sitting a lot lately. I think the ole man’s knees are bothering him. He was looking at sheets of paper last night. What do you think…stats or caricatures of the players? He seems to be learning. Put Reid in to pinch run for GA which a pinch runner would have won us another game in Philly.

Chipper goes huntin’ ‘n fishin’ fer fun, don’t he? (I’m taking the high road…beneath me to bring up the past, right??)

Leah, Bub, everyone: what is it that you’re looking for in terms of posting comments? Or to ask it another way, what is the issue you’re trying to address? Give me all your requirements and I’ll see what we can do … And if there’s something out there that you’d like us to approximate, include a link to it. Thanks. Let’s make this thing better!!!

Chipper’s out of tonight’s line up, getting a breather. And I’m kinda happy about it. Strange days …

    Leah Says:

Well Steve, since you asked, I have no idea. I’m great at coming up with problems and not providing a solution. I don’t usually talk to potentially psycho people online so I don’t have an example. I just know that sometimes when mutiple people are commenting at the same time I may “refresh” my screen but their comments don’t post until after I have posted my comment. For instance, I refreshed twice and waited a few minutes in between attempts before posting #84. #82 and 83 didn’t post until after I submitted #84. Then Bub got his feelings hurt and I had to brag on his humor etc.

Glad Chip’s getting a break and Bub’s right…baseball feels weird right now.

    Oh, we are so through.

Steve, I’m satisfied with the comment section. It’s just that, strictly speaking, I’m not usually commenting on the podcast itself, so sometimes I wonder if I’m not throwing off the ABT groove.

Leah’s the one with the problem. She wants a chat box I think. Remember? Fourth grade?

    Bubdylan Says:

Resting Chipper is a relief, but not quite all the relief it’s cracked up to be. We all think an automatic out (lately) is coming, but opposing pitchers sure don’t. Against all logic, they still pitch to his reputation. And subtracting him from the line up is going to make most pitcher more comfortable, no matter what the numbers say.

    Go Braves.

(I’m sure it was obvious, but since I’m off to a three hour class [PLEASE don't let her hold us that long] I’d better mention that the above venom at Leah is all in fun.)

    (mostly)

    Leah Says:

See…hurt feelings. Ok here we go. Bub you’re funny…really really funny…always make me laugh…out loud…lol…lmao…whew. Sorry guys. That should do it.

  13. 113
    Leah Says:

I don’t dislike the current situation I just like chatting live during the game. It makes me feel less like a freak when I’m up at midnight 30 watching a stupid ball game. It’s a little slow at times but so am I.

    Curt Says:

Did I mention I would like to apologize to Javy Vazquez and Mrs. Vazquez and all the little Vazqui out there.

And Leah, to answer a question from much earlier regarding guys having extra batting gloves in their pockets, some guys have sliding gloves they wear when they are running the bases that have more padding. Some guys also have a different glove they wear in the field under their mitt, that also might have more padding. That is the best I can offer.

    Leah Says:

    I hate Uggla.

Like I said, Chip on the bench Prado at 3rd.

  16. 116
    Leah Says:

Umm…please give Prado fluids stat! Dude looks drunk. Please no more headaches for Meadow.

  17. 117
    Leah Says:

Larry Freakin Jones!!!!!! Welcome back buddy!!!!!!!

  18. 118
    Tcc Says:

    Matty Freakin Diaz too!

  19. 119
    Kathryn Says:

I’m shocked Norton didn’t come through. He has been so clutch this year.

  20. 120
    Leah Says:

Funny Kathryn. I’m bummed they hit Diaz (so on purpose). Bravos were about to bust this game wide open. Come on boys!

  21. 121
    Tcc Says:

Norton needs to be sent “Straight to the moon” Surely there is someone who can do better than that!

  22. 122
    Bubdylan Says:

    Yes, Moylan!

    That dude is useful.

  23. 123
    Tcc Says:

    Ginormous inning for the Bravistomen.

  24. 124
    Marlin Says:

    Has anybody seen Momentum?

  25. 125
    Marlin Says:

oh… nevermind…. there he is. The umpire had him.
