So I’m at Sesame Street Live tonight following the game on my phone and jumped on when we were up 1-0. I was talking with a friend who was with us and jokingly said, “You know, whenever I jump on to check the score, they always seems to give up runs right after I check. Watch, Utley will hit a 2-run homer right here.”
No, it took one batter for Howard to do it. I just am beside myself with the idea that you let Howard hit 2 more homers against you. I just don’t get it. It’s disgraceful.

I know it loaded the bases which is not good but it just makes me feel better that Ronny got hit and that it hurt. Does that make me a bad sport?
September 18th, 2009 at 9:51 pm
Leah, you are not a bad sport. You may be a poor judge of who to pull for in MLB..but you are not a bad sport, at all.

Leah/Doll Curt Bub Steve Ham Tcc Mom, Dad, Wifey, Kids – been nice knowing you.

September 19th, 2009 at 7:11 pm
Watching a game real-time on TV for the first time since September 1st. Hope I picked a good night. Go Braves!!
September 19th, 2009 at 7:11 pm
Thank you, Martin Prado.
September 19th, 2009 at 7:41 pm
Anne, I hope you picked a good night too! Last nights game had an “end of the season” feel to it. A win would pull my hope meter out of the dirt..

Note to Melanie Oudin’s agent: please coach her to say she LOVES baseball and she LOVES the Braves if she’s going to be in the TV booth during show. For god’s sake. “I haven’t been to a baseball game since 3rd grade” is NOT a good answer. Thank you, Joe Simpson, for kicking her off the air.
September 19th, 2009 at 8:43 pm
Between she and Ron Gant, that might have been the worst in-booth interview ever.
September 19th, 2009 at 8:46 pm
Ah, the interview..I missed it. I like listening to the radio crew while watching the game on TV.
September 19th, 2009 at 8:51 pm
Since I haven’t fallen over myself over Matt Diaz in quite some time…holy crap I’m happy he’s given us insurance that we might need later. I DID pick the right game to watch.
Curt – Amen to no love for Gant. Boog? Boog?? Dear god, Boog???
September 19th, 2009 at 9:11 pm
Something wrong with Boog?
September 19th, 2009 at 9:14 pm
Doubtful. He has gigs with other networks and we probably just lucked out that Chip Caray was scheduled for radio and couldn’t sub in.
Speaking of which, I still miss Skip…and Pete.
September 19th, 2009 at 9:20 pm
Chip not on the radio, thankfully. I miss Pete too.
September 19th, 2009 at 9:25 pm
Since when has Moylan been David Ortiz’s creepy white twin??
September 19th, 2009 at 9:34 pm
Hey Curt..here’s a suggestion for an ABT interview: How about Matthew Kaminski, the ball park organist?
September 19th, 2009 at 9:43 pm
You gotta hand it to Bobby Cox. He ain’t scared of Ryan Howard. Even if it kills us.
September 19th, 2009 at 9:57 pm
It kills us. And anyone who offers that we need to keep Soriano around needs to be punched in the balls.
Chip Carey is scheduled for two weeks from now.
September 19th, 2009 at 10:05 pm
Anne, This game’s for YOU!
September 19th, 2009 at 10:05 pm
Thanks, Tcc. G’night, Braves fans.
