Day’s half over and it’s already been great: tour of Turner Field. I’ve meant to do it for years. ABT Fellas, I’m pretty sure I sat in your seat in the press booth. Thanks for leaving the seat warm.

latest tweet from DOB
RT @ajcbraves at GM meetings in Chicago. Bob Nightengale just told me he’s picking Braves to win 2010 WS (he was both serious and sober)
November 9th, 2009 at 4:26 pm
Just noticed one of the 44 tweeters DOB follows is Nick Swisher. His latest tweet? “Man! This is so crazy and hella fun! I love New York!”
It was so disheartening I had to share it with you all. Your welcome.

Don’t let it happen again Bub. Per Ken Rosenthal 3 way trade rumor for Bradley involving Mets and Jays. Does that make everyone happy?
November 10th, 2009 at 1:15 pm
lol, if Bradley goes to NY somebody needs to film their dugout as a reality show. Well… if they still had Wagner.
November 10th, 2009 at 2:19 pm
According to the rumor he would go to the Jays (from what I can tell). I also just read Nate McLouth needed contact lenses. Is this old news? It’s the first I heard of it. I find it encouraging.
November 10th, 2009 at 3:57 pm
“I need contact lenses…” that old chestnut…
November 10th, 2009 at 4:43 pm
I’m suprised Scott Boras hasn’t used this technique. Here it is:
1. A player in his contract year plays poorly, but has had success in the past.
2. Right at the beginning of winter, Boras has the player go and get contact lenses (about .0002 power) and announces to the world, “Oh my goshy garsh, I can’t believe this! I can see the ball so clearly now!”
GM’s: *mumble mumble old self mumble mumble imagine if he mumble mumble take a chance*
Boom. 12 Year Contract, 84 Zillion dollars.
HOW has Scottie not thought of this one yet? He’s slipping… and I’m in the wrong bidness.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:42 pm
I don’t want to think Nate would stoop that low. He’s so little and cute how could he. Seriously, the need for contacts isn’t legit?
November 10th, 2009 at 7:01 pm
Leah, I don’t know what Anne’s “chestnut” is. I don’t know that idiom.
But nothing in my post means that Nate’s being dishonest. I was just being a clown.
November 10th, 2009 at 9:49 pm
Whew…glad to hear it. When are we gonna reach 300?
November 10th, 2009 at 10:22 pm
