I don’t know about a 3 year deal for Rochey. I want the kid at first way before then. I’ll go crazy if we’re watching Adam watch strikes wiz by for the first half of the season. I think Frank is getting set up for his big move. Listening to interviews during the winter meetings confirmed in my mind he knows what we need and we know he will put feelngs aside to get it. Plus that man just had great hair. He’s like the sleeping giant with McDreamy type hair.

“Derek Lowe + Matt Young + Paul Simmon = Juan Rivera”
Coversely,
Nick Lowe + Neil Young + Paul Simon = … Johnny Rivers
December 19th, 2009 at 2:03 pm
* CoNversely. I get excited when I pun.
December 19th, 2009 at 2:45 pm
I see you worked hard on “Paul Simon”
How about –
Smickelback + Tankie Valli + Jay P = My morning Smacket
Lets see you pun that Mr. Funnyman.

Can’t do it.

December 19th, 2009 at 6:53 pm
Santa, I hear Bull Durham is a great flick.
December 19th, 2009 at 6:55 pm
Ooops, forgot my pseudonym.

Giants finished a few games ahead of the Braves, if they sign Adam LaRoche, I will be pissed. I knew the Braves were the 4th best team in the NL last year, problem was their team only got 85 games, while Phillies, Rockies, Dodgers, got about 150. he third place finish really left a bad taste in my mouth.
I don’t know where this fits in here, so, whatever!
SMICKLEBACK!

Leah, you can trust your ABT friends on sports movies. Bull Durham was a gas! HO, HO, HO!
December 19th, 2009 at 7:28 pm
and by the way, Leah, did you get snow too?
December 19th, 2009 at 7:44 pm
We did Tcc. It didn’t stick but it was pretty while it lasted. Huge, fat flakes.

Odds are in your favor for a nice visit to the “Land of Sky” (bring your woolies, just in case)
December 19th, 2009 at 10:31 pm
Looking forward to the next ABT podcast tomorrow. So, what do you guys think about the future of Freddie Freeman? How soon do you think he will be ready? I think that’s the big question in whether to resign LaRoche. AL won’t take a one year deal but he might take two. I think FF will take that long to be ready for the bigs. Is there a chance to sign LaRoche for 2 years or will he insist on 3?

Late. Night. Comment.
December 20th, 2009 at 8:17 am
Bub, you must have some wild and crazy family. What do ya say Will? Time for a new podcast? Ow…my poor thumbs.
December 20th, 2009 at 11:54 am
Ugh.
There’s a steam engine chugging in my skull.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine Corona bottles, and that’s without peeking in the trash can. In the future I don’t want to wake up to nine bottles unless there’s a bra hanging from a lamp post.
On second thought, no. Nine bottles and a bra could be bad, bad news.
December 20th, 2009 at 11:57 am
Lamp post?
Lamp shade.
You see, it’s so likely I can’t even imagine it right.
December 20th, 2009 at 11:58 am
Likely?
Unlikely.
Okay, coffee.

Ave I mentioned I HATE the Yankees?
At any rate, the Yankees clearly don’t have the trio market cornered. To listen to Sabathia, the world has forgotten them.
“They don’t give us enough credit, I don’t think,” Sabathia said this week, following the Lackey signing. “Everybody keeps talking about Boston now, Seattle now with Cliff and Felix [Hernandez], but I think we’ve got some pretty good guys in our clubhouse that can match up with anybody.
