Hi Bub and “I like baseball”
That’s an odd name for a person, what nationality is it? Scottish? It sound a wee bit Edinburgh-ish.
I like the Kelly non tendering, I knew it would happen, I just hope Braves sign Church.

I just found out I can down log NPR’s old “Car Talk” podcasts for 95 cents a pop. I may never make it back to school.

Betemit and Reyes weren’t apart of the Baby Braves

Down log?

I LOVE cartalk! Bub, sometimes I think we’re the same person. Then you do something like include Norton in the list above.
Kris, I’ve been having an identity crisis as of late. This offseason has me all discombobulated.
December 12th, 2009 at 5:45 pm
Try going into the woods, alone, on a spirit walk to find yourself. That should solve your “identity crisis.”
December 12th, 2009 at 5:55 pm
Kris, funny thing, I went on such a walk this morning. All the kudzu has layed down and died in ginormous mounds over the woods behind my apartments, so I went exploring. Need to do that stuff more.
Leah, Norton’s personality. That’s all. It was a list of personalities. I did not like seeing him at the plate.
And if you ever get a chance to hear January 1, 2005 Car Talk, it’s a blast.
December 12th, 2009 at 5:56 pm
Bub, can’t you get Car Talk from Itunes free?
December 12th, 2009 at 6:03 pm
Tcc, you can get the current show for free. As far as I know, though, the archived ones cost. But not much… I mean, a buck for a one-hour show, as opposed to a buck for a 4 minute song, etc.
But if you find out the old ones are free on iTunes as well, pass that along to me, would you?
December 12th, 2009 at 6:11 pm
Depends on the song.
December 12th, 2009 at 6:15 pm
I didn’t know the new ones were free on iTunes…thanks Tcc. That should help my offseason woes.
December 12th, 2009 at 6:15 pm
Sigh. Nobody said the songs weren’t worth a dollar, ma’am. Just using the contrast to point out what a happenin’ deal the podcast is.
December 12th, 2009 at 6:39 pm
I feel ya Bub. I agree…all kinds of love for Car Talk. See what we have to endure on a day when NOTHING good happens with the Bravos? Oh the insanity! Come on Frank! Give us something to talk about! Are you still enjoying The Avett Brothers?
December 12th, 2009 at 6:54 pm
Yes to The Avetts. Just listened to it again last night, actually.
December 12th, 2009 at 7:14 pm
See? Peas in a pod.
December 12th, 2009 at 7:26 pm
Never heard of the Avett Bros, but just googled them and listened to I and Love and You…great song, great sound! Thanks for the tip.
Bub, I think you are right about the new and old episodes of Car Talk.
BTW..aren’t we supposed to hear something about Moylan soon??
December 12th, 2009 at 7:30 pm
Tcc…you have to listen to that whole album. Fantastic! You must have been AWOL when Bub first saw the light a few weeks ago.
December 12th, 2009 at 7:33 pm
AWOL, yeah..I was busy pulling for CJ Spiller to win the Heisman, or at least beat the gamecoots.
December 12th, 2009 at 7:48 pm
Tcc, Braves tendered Moylan a contract
December 12th, 2009 at 8:07 pm
Good news! Thanks for the update!
December 12th, 2009 at 8:12 pm
Tcc, yeah, Leah linked an Avett Brother’s tune on here one day and I spent the next 8 hours in musical ecstacy. That album is way good. Best new (new to me) music I’ve bought in a long time.
Leah, yes, peas in a podcast. Heh… heh…. heh-heh-heh… *ahem*
December 12th, 2009 at 8:14 pm
Also, Tcc – as I know you’ll appreciate this – there is a moral undercurrent to that band that is really resonant, without being preachy. They seem to understand the confusion of trying to be good, etc.
Not that you seem confused. Or good.
December 12th, 2009 at 8:44 pm
“Jest ‘fore Christmas I’m as good as I kin be”! But confused, sure. That’s baseline.
December 12th, 2009 at 9:07 pm
Peas in a podcast…why didn’t I think of that? So simple. Bravo Bub on seeing the Avett’s undercurrent.

#200! “Time for another show” cried my thumbs.
