I’d like to point something out I’ve been meaning to say:
Not so much here (but this is the only place I post), but lots of places I see fans bemoaning Melky as just another Francoeur. Well, I say they’re right, but in a good way.
Melky is what Francoeur is to the Mets, not what he was to Atlanta. Both players come with limited expectations, limited pressure, and most imporantly, in limited roles. Atlanta counted on Frenchy for major production. Mets don’t. Neither will we count on Melky for it. For what we need from him, I’ll be glad to take “another Francoeur.”
A Melky/Frenchy used in the right way is no bad thing.

Excellent point Mr. Dylan. I’m a little upset, however, that you predicted so few homers for my main squeeze Prado.
January 6th, 2010 at 10:44 am
Alright, I must now confess that my unwillingness to consider Prado as legit is straight stupid. I just got back from Baseballreference.com. I had no idea. I must have just missed a lot of games where he performed well.
Prado: 16 homers.

I can’t help myself. “He plays both corners?” Thanks, Bub. Hilarious.

Leah, you have mail.
January 6th, 2010 at 8:44 pm
nice. Hey! Where’s my dollar? Steve, new podcast? Ya know…for the thumbs.
January 6th, 2010 at 9:03 pm
Yeah, Steve, new podcast! A Hinske Podcast. You know what would be funny, is if you did kind of a mocumentary podcast. Pick somebody like… Chavez or Thurston and straightface your way through an entire podcast where you talk about their high impact on the team.
I bet you’d get tons of new listeners just from the people who took you seriously.
Of course… it might make your clubhouse interviews … awkward.
Then again, if you did it on Diaz instead … and talked him up as the NL MVP… future HOF (you’d have to be pretty ridiculous, just cuz he’s really an impact player), he’d totally love it.
DO IT!

*hands Princess Leah a dollar*
January 6th, 2010 at 9:25 pm
I’m on board Bub. I have exorcised the Damons.
Go Braves
January 6th, 2010 at 9:44 pm
So, Curt the pessimist is now Curt the Exorcist!?? Man, if it works I’m all for it!! Go Braves!!
January 6th, 2010 at 10:03 pm
I can spin my head all the way around and I vomit a lot, so sure.
January 6th, 2010 at 10:43 pm
You’re on board? You mean you think it’s a decent team? What do you mean? Are you converted???!!! Are you … HAPPY CURT?
Don’t tease me, man. I could get really hurt.
January 6th, 2010 at 11:02 pm
Bub, I’m never happy. Especially after watching the Jackets last night.
But this is the team, clearly, so let’s roll and see what happens.
I think it is a decent team. I don’t think it is a playoff team. But I’m open to surprises in 2010. Glaus was interviewed in Atlanta today and talked about how he felt and how excited he was to be playing for Bobby. I wouldn’t expect that he would say he is going to suck and will be stealing money, but he seemed genuine. So I’ll give him a month before I start killing him. How’s that? It’s all part of Curt 2.0.
No props for the pun?
January 6th, 2010 at 11:10 pm
Yes, MAD props for the Damon pun. I meant to say that, but the prospect of seeing you happy threw off my groove.
“How’s that? It’s all part of Curt 2.0″
I’d say it’s a right friendly compromise.
January 6th, 2010 at 11:14 pm
Guys…something dreadful has happened. Someone has taken Eeyore hostage and replaced him with Pooh! Or at least Rabbit. I’d like to see that Glaus interview. I think I’ll go find it.
January 6th, 2010 at 11:23 pm
Ummm…no idea how that happened…I know you all are wondering who posted #315. It was me…Princess Leah. Just wanted to clear that up.
January 7th, 2010 at 8:10 am
790thezone.com for the Glaus interview. I’ll assume it is there as they archive most of their interviews. Sometimes there is a lag though.
Maybe Piglet?
January 7th, 2010 at 8:57 am
I don’t know Curt. Piglet may cause some to suspend your man card.

or how about “Hinkse, Schminske”!
January 7th, 2010 at 4:49 pm
Tcc, have you ever heard Nickel Creek? “You Don’t Have to Move That Mountain” and “The Fox” from their album Reasons Why are my favorites. Thought you might like them.
January 7th, 2010 at 6:20 pm
Leah, I have heard some of their music. It’s very good. I prefer really old timey stuff. Check out Dan Gellert’s “Waitin’ On the Break of Day”
Go Braves…looking forward to the new show.
January 7th, 2010 at 7:03 pm
“Do the 2010 Braves have a Glaus ceiling?”
January 7th, 2010 at 7:36 pm
Poached Sea, which is more important, my remembering your favorite genre of music or your name…I ask you?
Bub D…why are posing as Curt?
