Oh me too…I went to Matt Serletic’s wedding and met Edwin McCain, Angie Aparo and sat with Matchbox 20 at the reception. First time I ever had Creme Brulee. For reals.

Tcc – great story (both of them). And exactly how I pictured the details. I can’t believe I was so spot on about Porgy and Bess. Did the article about Prado say anything about if his family situation has improved? I read last year that much of his exertional headache stuff was related to stress about his family.
Being a banjo guy, did you get Steve Martin’s comedy albums from the 70′s? Really great stuff. My favorite stand-up of all time. The Let’s Get Small album is absolute genius.
At a wedding, my mom danced with the actor who played Grandpa Munster.

And TCC and I have a 6 degrees on the Prince. He patted me on the head when I was maybe 6 or 7. He was in Atlanta for some reason and was at the Fox taking in a show and I was there with my grandmother. She pushed me up to the front of the greeting line and he patted me on the head as he walked by.

I own Purple Rain on cassette.
January 29th, 2010 at 3:21 pm
See, cuz that’s an album by a guy named Prince, and you all were talking about a Prince, a real Prince, and I wanted to be in on the Prince thing, so I made a little joke there. See it? Keep looking, it’s in there.

Geez you people have been around alot of famous to semi famous celebs.I have only got a couple of autographs from the braves.I do live in the deep south though.I can tell you this though my Great Grandfather sat at the same table as Al Capone in Havana and the picture is in a Family cook book that gets revised every year and gets delivered to each member of the family every year since i can remember. My grandfather was a notorious bootlegger for years.Anyway thought it would be cool to share

MattChu..what a story, I guess there’s no way to post pics on here but that would be a great one to see!
Curt..the “pat”, that is very cool. A personal touch..
Steve..what was the comedy club in Atlanta in the early ’70′s? I lived in little 5 points for a Summer. Euclid Ave. We went to see Steve Martin and Martin Mull. Circa a Million years ago. Snuck into the Green room, picked up a guitar and warmed up SM on the banjo. Not bragging. It was just a moment that happened.
The Prado article says that there was a period when MP was indulging in lots of caffeine, then quit, and around that time Prado’s mother and brother had to return to Venezuela due to visa issues. Then came the headaches…Hopefully, and with the Blessing of Her Highness, marTEEN is set to have a banner year!

Blessings for Marteen by the butt load. By the way, everyone’s making a big deal about various brushes with royalty. HELLO?

Princesses don’t HAVE to pretend. I wouldn’t allow filters OR delete buttons in my land. And SNOW!!!! Lots of it. I mean like a foot. Um…of course it always snows up here in VT where I live with my husband who is a logger. Where I live…at 7.
January 29th, 2010 at 11:09 pm
Cledus, did you ever figure out if it’s “drip drip” or a steady stream?
January 29th, 2010 at 11:12 pm
Bub, is “Diamonds and Pearls” on that cassette? Cause I like that song. I also like real diamonds and pearls. This is the weirdest baseball talk ever. Whew, don’t mix wine and baseball folks. It gets just plain crazy.
January 29th, 2010 at 11:16 pm
Leah, your Princessesness..you live in VT? Really?? Really?? What is “at 7″? Surely not your Zone. Dang, I thought you were from NC. How did I get that wrong?
January 29th, 2010 at 11:24 pm
Oh poor Cledus. Curt and I had a “bit” going in regards to my never getting his Christmas card. He asked if I still lived at “7″, clever guy. The VT angle is a decoy for the crazies. I actually do live in NC where, by the way, it is snowing like crazy!

4 inches on the ground here. Nothing coming down at the moment. It’s that wonderful quiet that you get with snow. Looking outside you’d think it was dawn or dusk by the amount of light. Go Braves.
