Has anyone made it out to see the Braves Caravan? Looks fun but not coming close to me. My kid would dig it.

I was able to scan pics but dont know how i could paste them for all to see?
January 30th, 2010 at 2:36 pm
Ooooo…a photo album on the website isn’t a bad idea.
January 30th, 2010 at 5:55 pm
Diamonds and Pearls is a bit later than Purple Rain. Can’t remember the name of the album it’s on. He might not have even been “Prince” at that point. Not sure.

Mets talking to Smoltz? Say it ain’t so, John!
January 30th, 2010 at 9:34 pm
Smoltz to the Mets would be the most fitting end conceivable.
“… and the pitch from John, and A HIGH FLY BALL FROM GLAUS… BACK… BACK… WAY GONE… and Smoltz gives Troy a little one finger salute as he rounds first, sorry ’bout that, folks out in t.v. land. Now John is, oh this is … this is .. John Smoltz is stomping up and down on the mound … his glove tossed… there goes the hat… oh my, now he’s ripping off his jersey and running around in circles screaming something… is he saying … folks, he’s doing the Tomahawk Chop and there’s a lot of, well, spit and drool… here comes security, boy you hate to see a thing like this… Chipper’s beside himself in laughter in the dug out but this is just… wow.”
January 30th, 2010 at 9:38 pm
Okay, that was hateful. Sorry.

MattChu, I can’t see it since I don’t have a myspace page. I’m just not that cool. I used to but I don’t think I do anymore. I’ll try to find myself.

I’m over the snow. It’s beautiful and I’m done. Tcc, did you end up with a lot? Just watched Ironman for the first time and didn’t hate it. 19 days!!!!!! Go Braves!
See, if you post “Go Braves” at the end of your comment it becomes acceptable for a baseball message board. Booya!
January 30th, 2010 at 11:12 pm
Leah..officially Asheville got 11 inches. Looked more like 8-10 at my house. Happily the power stayed on. How much did you get?
Go Braves…we’re almost there!
January 30th, 2010 at 11:45 pm
I don’t know officially but I would say about 7 inches. Enough to fill the birdbath and it’s still falling…here in VT at 7.
January 31st, 2010 at 12:09 am
“I don’t know officially but I would say about 7 inches.”
I have a t-shirt that says that.
January 31st, 2010 at 10:17 am
Bub, how much do you wish we’d gotten 24 inches of snow? New show? Guys? I’m snowed in with my certifiable sister. Good as gold but literally certifiable. Could sure use that awe inspiring interview.

TWENTY FOUR???
Yeesh. I do eventually have to work a job.

Am I supposed to like Grushenka? I don’t think I do.
January 31st, 2010 at 12:11 pm
It’s that damned translation. They blew up Grushenka!
No, “liking” is not really the word for her. But I was pretty sympathetic to her.
January 31st, 2010 at 2:19 pm
(She’s no Lizzy)
January 31st, 2010 at 2:22 pm
Bub – in an extremely long list of fantastic comments from you, that t-shirt one is definitely one of the best. Laugh out loud funny.
Tcc – more details about the Steve Martin and Martin Mull show. Snuck into the greenroom?!?!?! Warmed up Steve Martin on the banjo (that’s not some euphemism is it?)?!?!?! Every gory detail, please.
The interview is looking very good for tonight, by the way.
January 31st, 2010 at 2:28 pm
NO LIZZY! Understatement of the decade. Crazy Sweet sister went home to her own abode. *puts away wine and picks up hot tea*. Still excited about the show. Any hints to tide us over?
And yes…Bub’s freakishly funny.
January 31st, 2010 at 2:58 pm
Thanks, Steve & Leah.
Looking forward to the (possible) show. If it makes it, it’ll be my late night reward for finishing reading this awful play for class & drowning in Spanish flashcards.
Tcc, that Steve Martin story is to freaking die for. I watched his acceptance speech for the Mark Twain award on youtube not long ago. What a class act and intelligent comedian. One of my favorite famous people all in all.
