Bowman just told 790 that he does not see Damon playing for the Braves next year.
February 11th, 2010 at 12:47 pm
Oh…my…goodness. You da man funny guy! I would give up Damon for that song if I had to. Why would you take away the listening pleasure of Braves fans everywhere? Leave it I say!!!!
What does Bowman know.

Have you guys seen this? Is it a joke? DH in the NL?
February 11th, 2010 at 2:28 pm
Oh…ok…I get it. It’s a joke. Got it. But Glavine’s back for reals.
February 11th, 2010 at 2:40 pm
That’s comforting news on Glavine. I’m getting exhausted from disliking him & Smoltz anyways. I (Kool Aid King) envision this healing the (presumed) rift between Wren and Bobby enough to flood the clubhouse with enough warm fuzzies to propel us to a Championship.
Cuz in the end, it isn’t pitching, it isn’t hitting, or even just any old kind of chemistry that wins it all. It’s warm fuzzies.
*hands Curt an airline bag*
February 11th, 2010 at 3:12 pm
Dear Bub, I really love your song. Can I have your autograph?
February 11th, 2010 at 3:14 pm
Speaking of airline bags…I’m headed to Austin tonight, home of the Round Rock Express, AAA Affiliate of the Houston Astros. Not saying that because I’m going for baseball, just saying. Go Braves.
February 11th, 2010 at 3:16 pm
Now there’s a city rich in roots music. Will get to take in any tune-idge?
February 11th, 2010 at 3:18 pm
-To Leah… you are the inspiration for all of my drunken Braves songs. Stay sassy — Bub Dylan
February 11th, 2010 at 3:18 pm
(I know, I know… Dr. Pepper. I’m workin’ on it.)
February 11th, 2010 at 4:28 pm
Leah, if you’ve never seen the Slide and heard Skip call it, somebody’s posted it. I’m surprised MLB hasn’t had it pulled. They usually do.

Chills. I miss Skip and how funny to see all the old guys so young. I hate to bring it up but was he really safe? BASEBALL!!!! I’m positively convulsing for the crack of bats! And…a new show or I’ll never find the bottom of the message board with my phone.
February 11th, 2010 at 5:24 pm
The man said, “HE ISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS… SAFE!!!! BRAVES WIN!!”
So, I reckon he’s safe. 8)
You gotta get a laptop, Your Highness.
I’m hungry and there’s not a thing here in the apartment. But all my pants are in the washer. Life’s not fair. How far past the date can you fry an egg?
February 11th, 2010 at 6:02 pm
I guess Detroit’s lost their damn minds.

February 11th, 2010 at 6:05 pm
Oh, and LOL at “Braves also trying.” *facepalm*
February 11th, 2010 at 6:26 pm
I think that’s their marketing campaign slogan for 2010.
February 11th, 2010 at 6:27 pm
You took your damn song down before I could see it.
And it looks like MLB took the slide down too.
Rassa frassa
February 11th, 2010 at 6:30 pm
Haha, #291.
Yeah, sorry Curt. You missed the show. It just wasn’t doing much for me sober.
February 11th, 2010 at 7:15 pm
The Slide is still there..always great to see.
February 11th, 2010 at 7:23 pm
I’m enraged, vexed, livid, incensed, and yes hot! You took it down? SHAME ON YOU! I wanted to listen to it again. I can’t exactly remember how the line went about Damon not being fit to hold Diaz’s jock strap. Seriously, either put it back up or at least give us the lyrics. “It just wasn’t doing much for me sober”. I’m the Princess!
In other news I need a little personal leeway. I just watched my youngest button his jammie shirt which may not sound huge. But for a child who could barely talk a year ago due to a developmental delay tonight he climbed Mt. Everest. Okay…I’m done…thanks.
February 11th, 2010 at 7:35 pm
Congrats, Princess Mom..and Bub, get that back up! Right away!
February 11th, 2010 at 8:23 pm
Bub – seriously. This is bigger than you now. Get that song back up and just let it go.
Leah – congrats to you and your son. One of mine went to OT for many years so I’m totally with you on hitting those seemingly not big to others, but enormous to you, kind of moments. Very nice.
February 11th, 2010 at 8:44 pm
I’m sorry folks. That snarky side of myself is troublesome to me. I’m sure you understand. But as Bobby’s last season trucks along, I’ll try to write something in a warmer tone (hands Curt another bag) and do it up right.
Leah, kudos on the awesomeness of your boy’s buttoning. In my SPE-300 class, it was eye-opening to see how the paths of children with developmental delays differ so much according to their parents’ attitudes and efforts.
February 11th, 2010 at 8:51 pm
That is great news Leah.
As Andrew Carnegie said:
Think of yourself as on the threshold of unparalleled success. A whole clear, glorious life lies before you. Achieve! Achieve!
February 11th, 2010 at 9:35 pm
THIS… IS… SPARTA!
(do you see what I did there?)
