For real…how bad is this? I mean I know if it’s bad it’s freakin “Can we have Javier back” bad but could it not be bad? Could it be tendinitis?

Leah, Jurrjens had some shoulder issues in Detroit. And when we traded for him, I was concerned, imagining he would never make it through his first full MLB year without flare ups. But he did.
But then, in his second year, when he was a prime candidate for the Verducci effect and Sophomore Slump, I figured it would definitely flare up this time. But he did fine again.
So, on the one hand, I’m as ready as anybody to be concerned about it. But so far he has proven tough against whatever shoulder problems threaten him. So, here’s hoping.
