    Will Says:

Hammy, Wire good. Amen. Lost is jumping sharks in the 4th dimension, but I love it anyway.

  2. 77
    Will Says:

    Jam Master Jayward.

    Princess Leah Says:

I can always tell when Will is on his phone because his sentences are very choppy. Lost is confusing and I don’t like the way it’s going. Hope next week is less forlorn. Hope I can listen to the game today. Maybe then I won’t be so grouchy…it’s for the children!

    Princess Leah Says:

They need an “IN/Out” board at the temple. I can’t keep track.

    Princess Leah Says:

    Now I can… Nobody’s in.

    Curt Says:

Dear God they can’t call a baseball game. horrible.

    Heyward seems decent though.

Seriously sounds like a little league game. I got chills when J.Hey (sticking with it) hit the double. Can someone tell me why we shouldn’t worry about Chipper? Please? Not much going on there. Go BRAVES!!!

    Steve Says:

Leah – there is no need to worry about Chipper at this point. This was the first game, he tweaked his swing from the left, it’s all very early. He got in such a long funk last year that it clearly became mental and then he could never recover. This is just one day and he’s got an enormous chip on his shoulder to come back strong this year.

Heyward told DOB that his nickname has been J-Hey for years now. I guess I better start warming up to it.

    Anne Says:

Finally finished the show – have been on the left coast. Steve – good to hear Scott’s doing well @ UGA. Can’t wait to get back to the ATL time zone to listen to preseason games. Go Braves!

    Princess Leah Says:

Steve, I’m so glad to hear it. Welcome back AnnE! I miss Bub. Someone should tell him it seems kinda mean to “stash” your sister.

  11. 86
    Hammy Says:

What about my recommended “the J-Hey Kid” a la Willie Mays (the Say Hey Kid, arguably the best nickname ever). J-Hey seems a little tired. Another nickname I am working on is “Awesome”. Like it.

  12. 87
    Hammy Says:

Also, I am loving Lost. I won’t clog up the message board, but maybe Leah, Will and I can find another place to discuss.

    Princess Leah Says:

You give me the link and I’ll be there with bells on. How about Fabu-licious for J. Hey? No? Doesn’t quite roll off the tongue? Ok.

  14. 89
    Princess Leah Says:

Oh no… you guys I have really bad news. Dodgers just signed Garret Anderson to a minor league deal. We’ll miss your lumbering about looking for the ball out in Left Field GA.

    I suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

    Go Braves!

    Steve Says:

    How far GA has fallen.

Did you see the quote from Chipper about J-Hey? DOB asked him when he thought he’d be up with the big team and Chipper responded, “when’s Opening Day?”

  18. 93
    Curt Says:

Did you see the other quote from Chipper?

“Is there a Hooters in Kissimmee?”

    Zing

    Steve Says:

Just had lunch with the guy that writes capitolavenueclub.com (great and smart blog – you should check it out). He’s a big “new stats” (WORP, VORP, EqA) guy. Anyway, as we were talking about the 2010 team he said his biggest concern was the final utility infield spot. He’s worried that anyone but Brooks Conrad getting it is a mistake. I bring this up because if that’s the biggest roster spot concern in the 2nd week of ST, we’re in pretty nice shape.

Now let’s see what KK has today!

    Anonymous Says:

I’ve got it! We should call KK “Killer”…as in Komono Killer…as in dragon slayer! It just came to me, just sitting hear and it hit me. I know, I’m awesome.
Curt, I remember you being super concerned about Glaus making the shift to 1st during that really downer “if” show. Are you still concerned about the Trojan making the shift?
Steve, that’s awesome to hear! I’m really really excited about this season. GO BRAVES!

  21. 96
    Princess Leah Says:

That was me and clearly I meant Komodo dragon, so maybe I’m not that awesome. No cross dressing dragons allowed in baseball.

  22. 97
    Curt Says:

of course I’m still concerned. I am in the acceptance phase and can live with the fact that it is what it is, but the truth will come once the games start to count. we have been very lucky to have had three really good defensive first basemen over the past few seasons, but there are a number of lefties in this division so he is going to get some action. we will need him to be better than good.

  23. 98
    Tcc Says:

Soooo..Conrad had 2 doubles and 2 RBIs today. Steve, I think your friend is feeling better already. Go Braves!

  24. 99
    Bubdylan Says:

lol, awesome link, Leah. That’s me. Except I’m older than that.

    Bubdylan Says:

Sigh, Jo Jo Reyes. Walk. Walk. Run. History of disaster. Bobby raves.

What do you call the list of people who have impressed Bobby Cox?

    Phone Book.
